New Member Says Hello!

Hello!

I found this game while randomly searching for French and Indian War Sites. Finally after years of the WWII Genre a Wargame about the F&I war and AWI!! I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my CD.... :niark:

From what I've read of the posts the game has an excellent Historical Feel and accuracy.

How many of you end up doing any of these when playing a good historical wargame:

1. Compare the Game Map to a Historical Map
2. Check the games Order of Battle (Units) with the real units
3. Compare the leader ratings with the quality of the actual leader
4. Try to replay a certain historical strategy
5. Read, Read, Read
6. Watch that favorite movie, for the 10th time..... :niark:

Hopefully I'm not the Only History Nut out there!!!

Welcome !!!

The game is very good. I hope you will enjoy it.

For our sake I wish you are more an 'Uncas' than a 'Magua' however ;-)

Greetings Magua! If you're a history nut you'll find yourself in good company here, and i'm sure that you'll appreciate BOA, not only for it's fantastic attention to historical detail, but the beautiful artwork as well. Everything comes together to create a very immersive experience.

I have done all 6 items in your checklist, at some point or other. WW I, WW II, Napoleonics, and now BOA. But so far, all I have played in BOA is the French and Indian War campaign.
