Take a break. Come back in a month or two. The AI will be improved. Version 1.10 of WIA made the game work. WON is is version 1.02. You like WIA, yet it took 10 releases to get it likable. You'll like WON. It's going to take a few more versions.

I thought I had the AI cowered on that. When I removed some of the restrictions for building depots, the AI went nuts. I put something in to tell the AI not to build them. Looks like that isn't working.

Kev_uk, I was playing with the 24 March and then April 11 patches so am familiar with some recent improvements. However a smarter AI wasn't one of those improvements. You may think the Athena Ignorance is worth playing against but I want more of a real strategic challenge that it can't provide. Per...

It would be interesting to see what could be done... ...but let me be a devils advocate again, with a specific example. Playing the Long Campaign, and it's now 1810: What direction should we give to Prussia? What is the situation? What possible situations do we need to script for???? Multiply by 7 ...

This .ini isn't in the Alias folder. Now the question I have, can an AI_Interest.ini be placed into the Alias directory, affinities added to leaders (which I can do via program quite quickly) and it will auto-magically work, or do I need to regenerate the scenario?

1 corp could easily lose to Sicily alone. They have a tough corp with a decent leader.

Spain giving into GB isn't a smart idea. Check victory points. GB gets more and their victory point generators are overseas where they can't be touched. Whereas France will need to defend from virtually everyone at some point. GB will win.

What goodies do you get for an invasion? I would still keep more in France always, just in case, it is not like France cant raise divisions if it just gets the money from winning. All powers get some degree of goodies. France gets a LOT. New Force pool additions, new RGD cards, more money/conscript...

True. I see the Spanish and French navies as gloried escorts or OMB warfare units. Not much else. Spain can do a lot in the med by invading Algeria, etc...Turkey the same. A large British presence can stop that, but the invasions can be done with limited transports and escorts. I lost my entire nort...

Still can do it. Keep 1 Corp around Paris. If Britain invades with more than a corp you get all sorts of goodies. 2 corp in Austria. Remaining 4 corp, plus Nappy and Murat are more than enough for Prussia.

Not withe GB factional modifiers and Admirals. Trust me. They don't matter. They won't hold a single region. They won't win a single battle.

The navies don't matter. GB has such dominance over the seas. All other powers combined make up 10% of the British fleet

What year? You only need 2 corp to hold Austria at bay. The rest can smash Prussia.

Sure but why surrender? Because they planned it! Britain DOWs and invades Spain, enabling Spain to enact army reforms and Spain surrenders without a fight. Granite, I'll say this again that expert CSA play can offset CSA limitations. However, what does it take to become an expert? Playing it PBEM or vs. AI 20-30 times, minimum, so that you become aware of every facet of the game, every event, every build, everywhere freebies are coming in, every defens...
