Wow I'm surprised anyone actually uses this feature. Why not just cycle through the units on the main map using the shortcut keys? It is many times faster and easier. Does anyone else really use the roster???? And if so why?

If a Union player made the error of letting a strong rebel army between them and Washington they totally deserve to lose. The game allows you to move the capital if you believe it will fall. As mentiomed above the heavy hit you take when losing the capital is also the resulting loss of government of...

I may have missed some posts on this but this issue came up on my other recent thread re Texas Rangers. The present house rule we are using: Any raiding outside border states must be with a leader or within 2 regions of a leader (this is needed for Union invasions of CSA coastal areas, where someti...

Have you tried to reinstall? Often this will fix issues like this. Uninstall and then manually delete all of the leftover files. Then reinstall as normal. Be sure to set aside any saved games.

Okay so this thread turned a little messy so here is a brief summary for those who are interested but don't want to sift through it: In early March 1862, regular units appeared in the game. I see 3 of each type of regular brigade, 3 more militia (on top of the 4 already built), 3 cav, and 3 artiller...

I can't remember if it's a bug or a rule change from one of the earlier patches (about the building without controlling a city or strategic city). You always used to have to control a strategic city. I guess one of the dev's will have to come in here to see if there has been a change. The manual st...

I can confirm that in my 1.15 installation, as the CSA you don't have to have any cities to have in your force pool KY units. I loaded an old game (Aug 1864), where the union controls all KY cities, and the CSA side shows the units (the 2inf 1 cav, the 2 inf 1 art, and the 4 inf 1 art 1 cav) that c...

I was just looking for the part, per Citizen X, that strategic cities have a star beside their name, which is incorrect. Only objective cities have a start beside their name. Actually capitals have their own unique symbol. A strategic city will say "strategic town" in the tooltip when you hover your...

Perhaps I should not have posted so quickly, in 1.15 you can get militia but not these: regular brigades, artillery, cavalry, river units. AFAIK if you control a strategic city you should be able to recruit all of these. I will check again once 1862 rolls around. Perhaps the KY forcepool for these u...

Despite having control of a strategic city (Bowling Green) the CSA faction cannot order reinforcements from KY. Vanilla 1.15 april scenario. Is there something I am missing here?

why do you say not to buy too many blockade runners at once? Ineffective use of resources? My thinking was I'd try to get 10-12 brigs in each blockade box ASAP to bring in more WS over the course of the game. Maybe I should clarify a bit. My point is just don't spend too many resources on brigs rig...

1) Is it possible for the Confederacy to blockade the Union? What happens if you send heavy warships (as the Confederacy) into the Blockade Box instead of the brig Blockade runners. Don't bother. In fact, don't build heavy ocean warships as CSA. The ones you get by event are enough. Those resources...

Do not attribute this result to the navy. 3 divisions entrenched in a swamp is going to be difficult to remove, even for Jackson. ~1.5:1 advantage just will not work here. You will need 3+:1 for a successful attack unless you get lucky with the rolls.
