As instruments of Papal Heresy, one would think that your gold-plated, greedy and degenerate pontiff would fund your vendetta against true Christians. But no, one must rob from the innocent to murder other innocents while priests get fat and rich. How do you sleep at nights? Necessary dogmatic and h...

Looks like the One True Religion is posed to triumph over the Papist Apostates. Or maybe not... Anyway, nothing quite so satisfying as pillage and murder in the Good Lord's name, regardless of which lord it might happen to be. Thanks for the continued updates. I think that the TYW really does a good...

Hey Jack. The missing land units are now included. As I recall what I gave you were edited scenarios that were saved at the first turn, these are the start-from-scratch versions. Thanks for the heads up on the empty folder, no idea how I managed that but it's now corrected. Cheers.

Fixed 1915, 1916 Scenarios

Activities here seem to indicate that there may be some life in the old girl still. Find below edited files for the 1915 and 1916 scenarios, in the stock game some formations intended to be stacked with or part of armies of other nationalities do not appear. Drop these into your WW1G MODS folder and...

Move big armies in stages, that is withdraw forces that are small enough not to create traffic jams that effectively prevent any movement. A 1500 power stack should be OK moving across two or three turns. 17th Century armies generally lacked mobility when in great numbers and tended to travel in for...

@ Vaalen, What directory do you install the game in? I believe that it defaults to install itself in the C:\Program Files or c:\Program Files (x86) folders. In my experience, putting WW1G in either of those folders practically guarantees issues even if you can get it to run at all. If you have insta...

This sounds about right, my understanding was that the last "official" patch was "P" and that "Q" appeared only here. Checking the version on the Matrix/Slitherine page for WW1G, the last official patch is "v1.08 I" which is clearly an error and indicates the total indifference demonstrated towards ...

To be honest, I really have very little interest in Belisarius or his era as a subject however I will certainly buy any DLC for the AJE franchise. Much preferred from my desk would be the Gallic wars or Octavian's civil wars as suggested above or turning back the clock to the Peloponnesian or Persia...

The other side isn't any better and we've probably all thought something similar at one time or another. Remember that a 35% chance of success equals a 65% chance of failure every time. The laws of probability and chance will rule regardless of how your faction preys.

Third time's a charm. Downloaded the update again and installed over a fresh, unpatched TYW installation again. All now working as planned so looks to have been a possible corrupt download. Thanks to all concerned.

I uninstalled the v1.01 patched TYW completely and reinstalled v1.00. Applied a second downloaded version of the v1.01 final and got the same access violation error when attempting to start the game. Uninstalled this and again installed the game, patched it to 1.02RC and it runs as designed. Not sur...

Ran the patch and TYW will no longer run. During loading an Access Violation crashes the game before reaching the Main Menu. Screenshot below.

How many impedimenta is avaiable per scenario ? I guess this number is fixed per the one we start with + we can recruit ?
