Pre-order bonus. I believe the plan is to release it as DLC later.

AI doesn't properly understand possibility of victory?

Just playing the Spartacus scenario, and it's possible to 'intimidate' the AI (e.g. bottling up in Tarentum) with an army with a large 'power' rating. Even though if the AI actually attacked, they would destroy that slave army. I'm wondering if the AI uses the power rating to determine success odds....

I'm having similar issues with this scenario. I assume it's because slaves are 'worthless' units compared to those invincible legionaries, losses of which cause horror to all Rome.

As you can see from your order number, Ageod is a small company. Give them a day to fix your problem before you condemn them as terrible :)

Hmm... so what's the rationale for this again? Why isn't there a tooltip with the 'actual' supply level?

Well, FPS changes only during map scrolling. When you don't scroll you have static image and FPS doesn't change. It is at 25 FPS, 20ms in zoom-out and 25 FPS, 5ms in zoom-in mode. Regarding video mode, it could be reason but then why I don't have same issue with other Ageod titles? I've just tried ...

Books to read - fiction or non-fiction

Happily, this is being released just as I'm rereading the Masters of Rome series, which I am enjoying hugely. Although it may not be military enough for some people's tastes...

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

I am in large cities, set to passive, with weakened forces. I control the region, too. Why do I end the game with 52 militia and 47 regular infantry in my recruiting box still waiting but never coming into the game. Are they missing elements, or simply damaged? Are the units missing elements the ri...

You could buy a USB soundcard very cheaply... e.g.

(your computer has no sound hardware at all? I didn't think such things existed nowadays...)

Also, I don't have that much time for gaming, and if I were to resolve my battles tactically, I'd never get a campaign completed (I'm struggling enough as it is ;) ). You could then say that the games should have an auto-resolution, but from my perspective, AGEOD would then have wasted a whole lot ...

Retreat is allowed in enemy territory except if you have no military control at all. Ah, so primarily a problem for Indians/irregulars operating deep in enemy territory... thanks very much for the answers. Is there any chance of looking at the militia training issue? (see the last post in the 1.13 ...

You can be entrenched either inside or outside. Sorry if I don't perceive the problem ?? The French had just arrived the previous turn; they had 100% entrenchment. I thought that 100% entrenchment was the same as the maximum that could be achieved in a level 1 fort? Why were they entrenched so much...

Entrenchments - bug? Or misreading?

I just fought a battle where I (English) moved out of Fort Oswego to attack a French army outside (i.e. I dragged the army out and set them to offensive). This resulted in the attached battle screen, where the French are listed as having '100' for entrenchment. I thought this level was only if they ...

With regards the training issue, what seems to be happening for me is that: ⋅ French have more trouble training militia than British ;-) (ignore this one, probably a personal impression) ⋅ When the first element of a unit gets changed, it retains its state designation whilst all ...

Not wanting to be a heretic, but I do like that map Clovis posted much more than the current one - it appears not to have the slight mismatches (e.g. bits of colour outside the region boundaries) :) Excellent!

Control

I'm playing PBEM in the French & Indian War now, and it's frustrating how difficult it is to get control over territories (some of which historically had no Europeans in them at all) to ensure safe retreats. I seem to need almost every French unit I possess to grab control quickly; it's almost nicer...
