Is there a pdf somewhere that walks through a "typical" Ageod game, they're pretty similar in the basics, and shows the thought pattern and specific movements/decisions made? There are AARs...but they tend to start from the perspective of an experienced player. It seems the writeups either focus on ...

Can you recommend a good military strategy book on the American Revolutionary War?

How the North Won by Hattaway & Jones is an excellent book on the military strategy of the North for winning the Civil War. Can you recommend a good military strategy book on the American Revolutionary War? I've not been able to find a good book that covers either the American or British strategy li...

The sign of an 'A' Team

One of the signs of an excellent team is the ability to continue to work in a positive manner when things aren't going well.

I am impressed with the maturity and professionalism of AGEOD.

Looking forward to the manual and an excellent game...

When will the manual be available? It has been two weeks since release of the game...and there is still a need for a real manual. How long will it be?

Perspective

AGEOD is a great company and I know we will end up enjoying an excellent game. One thought...I have gotten a couple of board game conversions...and having designed some and own a couple of hundred board and computer games and I do have one observation... When you port a board game to the computer, y...

Conventions examples

PhilThib, First let me say, I know you guys will fix this game. Not a doubt in my mind. Replacements handling would benefit from using your historic approach. Or just put them in a major city and let them move to the front. Current process is unnecessarily complex. Combat is very hard to understand ...

Conventions would help

AGEOD has done a fantastic job in the past...and established a number of conventions (ways of doing things) that we all know. It might make sense to apply these conventions as much as possible to this game system. Selling a volume of games depends upon the quality of the game and the ease of getting...

This game is not ready for market yet

After a number of attempts to play this game the lack of a manual, a confusing tutorial and a number of crashes/glitches has made me decide to play other games until the patches make it a real game. I'm disappointed in the half baked shape this game is in at release. Very surprised in light of the p...

Why is this a great game?

So often we get wrapped up in the minor things that we don't like about a game...I thought I'd take a minute and talk about why this is a great game...maybe you'd like to add your thoughts? I love the way the game plays...it has a real feel for the strategic decisions that were made in the Civil War...

The quality of these games has been fantastic. Being a wargamer since the early 60's I can attest to the vast majority of war games being mediocre at best. It is rare when you get good games that handle operational issues well. In my humble opinion, the price of keeping the team at AGEOD together is...

I love all the Ageod games...but I agree entirely SuperBob. I agree. I love this game...the only element I don't like is the micromanagement of the reinforcements/replacements. If one could choose historical levels and eliminate the hassle it would be great. Best strategy book on Civil War I've read

If you're looking for the strategies followed in the Civil War ... and if you like this game you probably are...How the North Won by Herman Hattaway and Archer Jones is simply excellent.
