And yes, AACW could use serious tweaking up of the casualty rate, particularly as we have so many generals in that game. For a future AACW-II I'd also expect the modifiers to be in there (men like McCulloch would then be more likely to die but boost their troops morale). Though in that war at least...
The game doesn't come out for a few months, and is still very much in development. That said, I can't imagine that they won't release a demo within the month or so before the release (June 7).
I obviously can't answer the question, but you should try ACW again, there are a large amount of units, but it is easier because most of them are fed in gradually rather than large amounts at the start and also the organization of the armies makes it better to have larger, more coherent stacks rathe...
I don't remember the exact date, but it is in June. (I think it is on the PI forums in one of the threads, but it is currently in its nightly 45 min of shutdown so I can't check.)
IIRC, it looks like you missed a step. in between conscript as the zouaves (who do have the same stats as the others) are "regular" regular infantry. Notice the small band on the side of the zouaves, there is a step of line infantry without that that is not conscript. (I would give a better descript...
And as for Light Infantry, they are something else apart. They are mostly formed along with 2 militia regiments in the first months, but IIRC are not buildable/trainable to except for a few avaibable for the south. But Militia -> regular goes like this... militia -> infantry (conscript) (not militia...
Post #4, a very long way down. Just to let you know though, it is not meant for 1.16, but one that is will come out any day now (was scheduled for slightly less than two weeks ago, but delayed a bit.) That one will come out on Clovis' blog, which is linked in his sig.
Bad boy, AgeOD, bad boy indeed. Just when I'll need to finish all my dissertations and study for the exams, you are going to release this curse upon humanity. How shall I ever be able to get any sleep? I'll fall asleep during turn resolution and wake up in the morning. How adding some peaceful, cal...
Yep, Alachua, FL. The town on the map, Newnansville, doesn't exist anymore though (We've got Newnans lake though.) For that matter, I wonder why it was put there. Wiki says that though it was the county seat until 1854, by the civil war all county functions had already been moved to Gainesville.
Well, I don't know about good strategy, but I just had one of the best games so far a few days ago. Various armies (admittedly one or two later on were just dummies to keep the politicians happy) One giant one under Grant initially in the West, later split upon reaching Vicksburg in 63 and two more ...
Question to other players: Is anyone else seeing substantially longer move times for forces that include separate Sharpshooter (Line Infantry movement) elements? A force that would normally take 6 days to make a move might easily take 9 if I add a sharpshooter (or fail to take it out). Are they inc...
I've looked your save, and you have currently 0 EP  . We would need another turn with the 15 EP needed to fire the event. :bonk: On reloading I took a closer look and found that I had been looking at VP instead of EP. All is well, I spent the last of my EP that turn to get more money, tho...
I could have sworn this was fixed, but for some reason the partial mobilization refuses to work for me as the southern Whites. I have over 60 EP and enough money, but after selecting the option many turns in a row, it does not function. Attached is the last turn before the one I am currently on, but...

Pontoon bridges (though 75000 is still a very large number to get across.)
Strangeness with Kentucky: As the US, I invaded Kentucky in late August, but then, in the early October turn, I get a message saying that the CSA had invaded as well, and the effects were as if I had never invaded (except for loyalty, that was lower.) Posting the current turn and the one from the or...
Now that 1.16 seems to be pretty much stablized (the only complaints were graphics) are we still looking at a December release? No pressure, get RUS all well and good before hand, I'm just curious. Regardless, thank you!
Well, WIA isn't the best game for that, though it still is a good game. Try starting off with some of the smaller scenarios, and if you want a "long" campaign that is still smaller, the War of 1812 is pretty good. Oh, and AACW sounds like just what you want, though there still is eventually a huge a...
