Re: Battle system: FOG2 or AGEod?

One issue I see, and maybe it is making an issue where there is none, but FOG2 on Steam you can buy as a bundle which is appealing because it looks like it might be cheaper, but then if you get FOG:E here, will you be able to get them to work together?

Re: Duration of one turn ?

It doesn't really bother me as much as others. I doubt it would be like this, but I could see two armies entering a province and according to the "delay" it could be at any time during the year they actually meet on the field. I would kind of wish it be like that. That way, you wouldn't ha...

Re: Duration of one turn ?

They are one year. I think I saw it on the 1 hour and 40 minute or so reveal with Ian and Phillippe at Brescia.

Re: I'm about to give up on this game...please help

I've just started again at this game and this thread has been gold. Thanks everyone who answered the OP so helpfully. I have my own really dumb question - if I play the historical campaign as WE, then does the AI handle the EE? I never see what's happening over there in the east. Is something happe...

Re: Field of Glory: Empires Beta is open

I am not too worried about not getting in Beta. I was able to jump feet first into To End All Wars when it first came out and wasn't in Beta there, so I'll just wait until it is here, if I don't get in.

Hi Wiggum, I don't think you can create an army with a 2 star general. I am pretty sure he needs to be 3 star.

I have misplayed it too, mostly because I was not familiar with the scenario.

How was he able to keep away from your main stack?

Do not fight Caesar where he is, fight him where he is not. Especially if he has built a stack of doom, he will have many places ripe for Pompey's forces. This is how Pompey wins. Remember, Caesar must win all. Pompey can merely hold a few important places, maybe even Rome if Pompey still has a dec...

Is this scenario unbalanced in favor of Caesar? I mean I know they probably are very historical. I'm playing a PBEM as Pompey. I did ok at first but Caesar has a doom stack and is destroying my armies slowly.

Hi all. Question about PBEM

I typically do not play PBEM but recently had someone ask to play a PBEM game. So, I read the manual about PBEM.

It says two TRN files should be created, but I'm not seeing those files. Is the game producing them, I just have not found where they are, yet? I have been looking in the save folders.

I think Altaris did a great job with TEAW. A great game with great ideas implemented in the classic AGEOD engine. For this game I would like an important number of events in which the player can choose from different options. Not just 2 o 3 events, a lot.... :coeurs: I´m curious about the great cam...

Dear Towerbooks3192. I was much the same as you. I bought the first civil War. Fire it up, played a few turn, put it down and thought, "What do I do? I don't know what to do??"
