Slightly off topic but...... If you have been lucky then count your blessings ;) Its unwise though to assume that because you have been fortunate in avoiding import costs that all of us can/will get away with it. I also live in the UK and when I wanted a physical copy of WiTP AE I was charged £23 s...

If you dont spread out detachments then they will just go passed you. Also one stack makes no difference cos if they bump into a detachment and its HQ has a fair few corps in reserve then they come into play. So having detachments covering ground with units in reserve in the HQ is far better than ha...

Well I had the problem because everytime I changed it to use the 3d counters when I started the game again it went back to the default settings. This is because I was clicking the tick. When I clicked save and exit every secnario I start now starts with the options I chose.

When you change the settings click save and exit! Otherwise it doesn't stick.

Happened to me aswell.

Windows 7 user here and it works fine for me. I have had one crash to desktop in about 8 hours of play. Thats fine for me. Ive had one gripe and thats not a bug really. If your having that many problems it must be your system. You said its new? Graphics card not overheating is it? It can't be bugs a...

Ok... That is why I've never seen any of those hyper units (UK never joined me - as France of course - before 1915 actually). Surely if the British don't join until 1915 then you should still get the hyper units as the British wouldn't have suffered any casualties? You should always get those units...

Funny that as I live in the UK and have bought from NWS and there shipping costs where neglegible. The delivery is very cheap indeed. Also no one I know has had to pay customs buying from NWS yet. Ive bought loads with no problem at all. It was mentioned over at MAtrix aswell as someone was worried ...

Think your forgetting the new blood that will buy the Gold edition and wonder why the tutorials for one tell you to move a unit to an area that doesnt exist and two why they don't cover many aspects of the game that make it easier to play. It's fine to say not to bother if you already know the syste...

The boardgame wargames scene seems to be healthy enough with new games coming out all the time which I suspect sell well considering how much it must cost to print and produce just one game. Maybe a massive advertisement campaign aimed at the boardgamers would bring in new blood that will appreciate...

You want your wargames cheaper? Try Naval Warfare online shop....hps games are $29.99 rather than $49.99. http://yhst-12000246778232.stores.yahoo.net/ As a scenario tester for Squad Battles I can highly recommend this game. Great tactical turn based system..all the games in the series constantly get...

Know one has mentioend the prolific output of HPS sims. Anyway I think the problem is finding new blood. Not one of my friends have ever heard of or even know what a real wargame is. I say I play mainly wargames on the PC and the usual reply is "What Call of Duty or Yeah Ive played Command and Conqu...

Suprised to see

I'm suprised to see fighter plane squadron in August 1914. Recon I understand but fighters?...also someone needs to mod the picture as it doesn't look like a 1914 aircraft more like a 1916 onwards. How do you send your Zepplins to the UK....when I moved them it would only do land movement and showed...

Tutorial update

Its a shame the tutorials haven't been updated to take in the gold version. I went through them hoping it would show me how to use the new features. Having to find that sweet spot to merge units was annoying and is something that isn't a problem with the new features. Also I find tryng to place the ...

I knew really that it wouldn't be implimented. Guns of August does this however....but this game is far more appealing to me than that one. As for your stomach turning then yes it should do. A WW1 game for me should show the enormity of that war. Its when I see losses of 2 that seems to diminsh exac...

Is there any chance?

I'm a stickler for seeing exactly how many men are in my Army and how mnay casualties I have taken or given. I understand it would be impossible to do this to the level of the other Ageod titles as there a totally different engine (which is a shame as I think that a hybrid between this game and the ...

So its $39.99 for the upgrade?

Well if so what happened to the massive discount for previous owners? I mean talks of $10 where mentioned over at Matrix.

Actually Ive just come across the update patch. So does this mean the upgrade is free for previous owners?

Its a little confusing.

Ww1?

I own WW1 Le grand guerre and await the gold version. However I really wish AGEOD had produced a WW1 game using the standard engine. I want to see how many men are in my units and how many where sent into battle...casualties etc which the above game doesn't do. So this being the only chance I expect...
