I think it's a "Regions" map. Thank you. ;) Now, for the actual topic; what's with the colors and fonts in this game? Is this a commy plot? I have 20/20 and 20/30 eye sight-just stated wearing glasses about a year ago (at age 51) for very fine print only. I can actually see pretty good, but I find ...

The RR status box at the top of the screen never changes. Once, I did note that the drop down dialog from the RR box did show some being used, but only that one time. When should it display the current amount remaining? The RR repair is not clear to me. I see the unit order for RR repair, and have r...

So, anyway; I am currently at the December 1914 "Interphase" (this is actually the first time I noticed it). I have long since made various attemted political changes (some of which I was notified that those had succeeded). I do not have anything else to try at this point to my knowledge. My questio...

Would it be possible/practical to have a red banner on the notice that a country has entered into the conflict? I have been surprised a couple of times due to my habit of rapidly clicking through all the notices. I miss an important one once in a while.

I agree, a good idea. This evening, I dumped a rather good game as the CP in October because the Ai was going on 10 minutes. The whole time the pointer was frozen on the "next battle" button. I am fairly certain it was the last battle of the turn, so it did start on some AI activity. However, I had ...

Before you give up on the game, check out crucial dot com. they have a small, easy to use utility whch wil give you options on upgrading your RAM. I orderd new RAMs very soon after buying this ...

I may have missed it in the list, but thre is a huge improvement in RAM utilization. My RAM use has dropped by about 50%. Draging an dropping seemed smoother too.

Bravo!

I need some advice on the quickest way For Germany to capture Leige and elimnate its Fortress. It takes me to the end of September to completly capture ths place-this is really crimping my style. I'm not sure of the negative impact of not being able to convert the railroad there and beyond. I am sur...

Maestro: Thanks; tried your tip. No joy; crash on second turn of grand campaign. Also for the first time I noted that the map kept getting darker and darker, then lighter and lighter. This was not constant, but happened on and off. I also had much more lagging and slower battle resolution. My card ...

I use a NVIDIA 7800 graphics card. I have a link in the tool tray, but it is easily accessed in the control panel. When opened, near the top of headings, there is “Manage 3D Settings”. Opening that gives you a simple window which offers choices in two columns’, one for “Globa...

I have run a few more tests with the anisotropic filtering, and have confirmed it has eliminated CTD-except while exiting (for nine turns in a row, plus several others for 2 to 3 turns). The difference is easily noticeable in the speed of the game, and the smoothness of cursor use. By setting this g...

Tech Tip

OK commanders, grab onto your rifles for this one. Turn off your anisotropic filtering on your graphics controller and set it to "application controlled". I have little idea what anisotropic filtering is, or does. I can't explain why it does any good. I can tell you that I have been (diligently) tin...

You are correct. This is the first time I chose to load the whole map at the start. So, I guess that explains the additional ram use.

It had caused CTD during scenario load up on my PC.

End Game Window

I have played the Serbian and Tannenberg scenario's to completion a few times. The end game/results screen is some what on the bland side. With these small scenario's, it is not much of a big deal. However, after playing a full campaign, it would really be a shame if that is all there is. Of course,...

I am trying to play with one gig of RAM with an Athlon 3500. It runs like crap. In about ten days, I will be up to 3 gigs of RAM. That, and the pat...

The most Plausible road to CP victory would have been the 1918 spring offense. The big mistake (with hindsight) was letting up on the British after the initial great success. Instead of aiming for Paris in May, they should have aimed for the Channel. I am aware of the fact that the German Army could...
