I'm still interested in getting this game, but I'd like to see some replay-ability - and a-historical interventions are a great way of doing that. Right now I see people bragging about how they can win as the Nationalists in 13 turns - throwing in more foreign forces against them is a great way of ...

Although it is a bug, that panel is not very important for gameplay in my opinion.

Actually I can't remember looking at it, contrary to the replacement panel, which I check every turn.

So I wouldn't choose to revert the patch.

And you can even move the forces of your allies? I didn't do it, but it seemed possible. I could select, drag and drop their forces. It appears that this is not possible, fortunately. The dragged stacks jump back to their position. After playing the multiplayer campaign for half a game year now, I ...

Replay option

My request to the developers:

Can you include the replay option in the System.opt file for future patches?

Because I manually added it, but after the patch it had disappeared again.

// Replay

If you had been in a bar chatting about this game like you have on these fora, your bill would have been already like the price of the game. :w00t:

I bought the game and played a few turns. It looks fantastic. But I am first finishing the book of Antony Beevor, because I want to get to know the forces and historical events. Also, I hope when I have finished the book in a few days, a few more bugs are solved. But of course if everybody is waitin...

Very nice.

But there are a few types where the needed number (red or white) is still showing up in black.

I wonder if the game crashes when I move a stack that is also moved by another player.

Very minor bug. The replay feature is not working. I have repaired that in WIA by adding a line to some configuration file, and then it appeared in the game options to turn it on and off, but I forgot what line in what file. When the patch adds it to the file, everybody can just use the game options...

Does it make any difference for AGEOD whether I order the game on the Ageod site or on the Matrix site?

If so, I will order on the AGEOD site, but if not I will consolidate my purchases at one place, now that the history at the old AGEOD site has gone.

I can recommend Beevor's "The Battle for Spain". I just ordered it at my local library. They even have a Dutch translation. So I will be ready when this game is released  http://mom.biblion.nl/olifant/olifant.dll?doctype=AI&bibliotheek=bngroningen&style=0&ppn=296164593&isbn=9041410880

I don't see a big problem with the current method. But I was explaining how this feature worked in Combat Mission, because there it works fine. And it could be adapted in a way that gives the same security, but that would allow multi-player and "parallel thinking". On the other hand, AGEOD is a very...

To Erik: but then we are back to IGO-UGO there, right, sort off... Not in the actual execution of the turn, but on its pace... In practice I didn't notice much difference in pace between Combat Mission PBEM and AGEOD PBEM, unless you both want to take a lot of time to think about your turn. It is l...

Are you sure combat mission 2 does not use independent server. It is good suggestion, but it would require independent server coordinating computers from two players, since they do not need to be online at the same time. Yes, I am totally sure, you just e-mail your turnfile, or use DropBox or simil...

All I’m suggesting is to change when a player can see a turns hosting results, so there is no need for both players to be online. So if player #2 is always the host of a games turns, just prevent him from being able to see the results of a hosted turn until the turn is first opened, orders for the ...

Looks like it will be a beautiful game. Now I don't know much about the Spanish Civil War. Will the game teach me about this history, or should I start studying it before starting to play this game? (I found RUS hard to get into without background information, and I actually haven't managed it yet).

3) if you are not Roman, just the heaviest infantry you can find, and a very good general.

Of all the AGEOD games I like the ROP map best.

I am afraid in my opinion a historical style fits the abstraction level of AGEOD much better than this realism.

123 hits. Each replacement repairs 10 hits (on average), so you need to purchase (at least) 13 replacement chits.

Your reasoning makes a lot of sense. (of course all the support calls come in the weekend).

Just like to say that your own AGEOD site was much more civilized and stylish, but as I only have to use the new site a few times a year, I will get over it.
