Hi bob., some time ago I started a project to provide, if possible, English leader biographies for all leaders and standardizing transliterations for names, but never quite finished it due to real life reasons. It's still on my watch though and not abandoned - I hope to finish it sometime, with some...

Hi Cuske, I've also played Commander The Great War before and enjoyed it. CTGW and EAW are two very different kind of games, in my experience, first and foremost due to the usage of hexes vs provinces. I've finished my campaign on CTGW in around 15 hours, while you will not be able to finish your ca...

Combat Signature affects the likelyhood of an unit to be engaged by elements in combat - e.g. big units get engaged more easily by enemy forces, for example. The wiki has some good primers on combat in AGEOD games: http://www.ageod.net/agewiki/Combat_Explained

Hi,

you will have to open the console (this depends a bit on your region settings apparently, for example it's ^ or ö), and then time loadreplay, followed by the name of the replay file, which you can find in your save game folder, which can be found in Documents\My Games\To End All Wars\EAW\Saves\.

No, it should work in SP as well, provided you activated replay recording in the options.

Yes, you have to plot your turn with one faction, then press save, load the save game, select the other Entente faction, plot your turn and then resolve it, then repeat the procedure.

EE can't send diplomats, yeah. If you want to control Entente diplomacy, you will have to play both Entente factions. This is a bit of a problem in SP if you don't want to leave diplomacy in the hands of the AI, but only want to play the Eastern Entente.

There have been several outbursts of strong emotions on the forum these last few days, people should probably calm down a little to preserve the cordial atmosphere normally experienced here.

If you select a stack, you can see the entrenchment level in the bottom right corner where you can also find your supply and ammunition levels. Hovering over the trench level also allows you to see how long it will take to reach the next entrenchment level. According to page 26 of the manual, trench...

I just checked and unless I'm making a mistake, I think it is missing a connection:

Vladivostok

I'm curious why Vladivostok doesn't have a connection to the Pacific right now. Even though the Pacific Fleet received a beating in 1904/1905, there were remainders of the Pacific Fleet and also at least one Russian vessel, the Zhemchug, engaged in combat against a German ship in Asia. If possible, ...

Yeah that's normal, you can just wait for the seamines to float across the screen. Pressing the space bar pauses and unpauses the replay.

The other DLCs are the smaller scenarios. If you are just interested in the grand campaign(s), then the Scramble of Africa DLC should be what you are looking for. I just noticed the complete package is on sale on Steam, though.

I think that is exactly what Kensai proposed. Making the AI not doing it and prohibiting the AI from doing it is, in scripting terms, probably the same.

The 10% proposal does sound good, though what about stacks that start with a higher penalty in some AGE games, I assume the AI would split them up on the first turn?

Here's a thought that just occured to me... maybe it is so hilariously bad because it is AI vs AI? Usually in all games it is AI vs human... If that's the case, some of the AJE scenarios, ROP or RUS with one human playing on of the white factions should also result in equally strange things, right?...

As for that first screenshot, at least some Japanese ships in the Mediterranean Box seems alright to me - historically, the Imperial Japanese Navy committed to that theater only later, but it is still in the realm of possibility.
