Re: Love this Game!!

Whith the stack selected, just check the tooltip on the food icon on the bottom right panel. It will say how many supply stockpile the stack has and how much it consumes each turn. Bear in mind that in the simple supply system (the one used by this game) stacks with a wagon can also draw supply from...

Re: Which settings are the best (for AI) ?

You need as many breaches as the fort level before being able to assault
On high level fortress usually is easier to just siege until the defenders starve.

Re: Which settings are the best (for AI) ?

I would say yes to behaviours and put agresiveness on normal.

About the side, honestly i have no idea... I havent played the game much.
I'm just playing my first grand campaign as Catholics both on PBEM and versus the AI and we are still on the third year.

Re: Which settings are the best (for AI) ?

Hi! Well, the AI has it hard on this particular game, as the situation is very tight on supplies and resources, harsh weather... Not sure if it's possible to have easy supply for the AI only... i've never tried that option. If possible it will surely helps the AI a lot. If you are not veteran on AGE...

Re: Which settings are the best (for AI) ?

With historial attrition you need a depot to recover full missing elements. But you can recover missing hits everywhere. Regards! Are replacement chits also used for recovering missing hits ? Yes, sure! This is it's main purpouse. All the little numbers you see over each replacement type on the rep...

Re: Which settings are the best (for AI) ?

It doesn't matter if you are inside or outside a city. With historial attrition you need a depot to recover full missing elements. But you can recover missing hits everywhere. The upkeep is the monthly wages of your soldiers. Not related with replacements. Each depot level increases the supply level...

It seems you have pretty much everything covered! ;) Another good use is to send them in advance of your main forces, taking military control of the regions on your way, so your armies can move on defensive or passive posture, expending less cohesion and getting faster and on better shape to their d...

Yes, it looks something went wrong... try starting over the campaign.

Regarding command points, ** and *** star leaders have double command points than the standard if they are "in the chain of command" (when they are in command of a corps or and army stack).

Durk offers good advice. But still, I would say this scenario is not balanced at all. Pompey has a very difficult task ahead. You can win as Pompey, but hardly against a skilled played. Instead it makes a very nice scenario to be played against the AI or a less skilled player. Maybe you and your riv...

It's probably also worth noting that just moving a force for the sake of moving or because you cannot think of what to do with it can often become a bad idea. The AGE-Engine rewards reasonable forward planning, even against the AI. Think ahead, think strategically and use the F7 screen to see where...

In my experience, battle with Hannibal (in Rome or elsewhere) usually ends like this to the Romans: That is the battle for Rome from my PBEM game i talked about above. This is interesting you say that Rome cannot defend against Hannibal in Rome. In my experience, any time Carthage enters the region Rome occupies they lose value and are always weaker than the Romans. What are you doing to make the Carthaginians competent in this region of Rome? What i mean is that...

You probably could have added a year or two if you'd done two things. First make sure you have only one tiny garrison unit in Rome so supply draw is as low as possible. Then delete most of the auto-spawn units to reduce supply draw whenever Rome is put under siege. You have no hope of winning a fig...

The problem with that strategy (that i think is the right one for Romans, by the way) is that Rome city is not coastal. And taking Rome means game over for the roman side (there is a huge NM lose by event when any side loses his capital that will end the game). A focused CAR player can put Rome unde...

I have to disagree with Durk. Depots or friendly cities in regions adjacent to a siege definetely helps giving supply to the besieger. If you dont have any or they dont provide enough supply you will have to send wagons back to a friendly supply source to replenish and then back to the besieging arm...

Invasion events only fire with proper invasions, not small raids. I think the event checks for the number of enemy elements. I recall seeing one that asked for at least 75 invading elements. But the number may be diferent depending of the country.
