Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

Nice work. Although ratio should be 4:1 rather than 2:1. Imagine the prestige in Europe if CSA would hold Ohio.

So, when will this be implemented?

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

The real question is, what do you understand as balance? If you consider the military rule of thumb that you never attack with less than 1-3 odds, and the fact that the Union must basically attack and conquer the entire South, balance would be for the Union to have 3x the force size of the South, v...

Re: Game still to unbalanced for CSA

Absolutely agree with the forum topic. What the game needs is a mechanic that puts politic pressure on the player to spread its forces to all states. After all, individual states had much more influence then than now. The game has scripts in place that count regiments in an area (on to Richmond, Was...

River pool transports can be intercepted in latest patch. Also I once had a match where Union player would land 60.000 men in Louiswille, then load them into boats and land them in Nashville, than on the next turn in Louisville. Using river transports makes Union able to load outside friendly port a...

I did some further research and found a flaw in AI programming. It will call for financial options when it has under 250, 300 or 400 $. Since Union makes $700/turn in this scenario, it will never use its full financial might, it is like it is playing with one hand behind its back. There is big room ...

1862 Campaign CSA industry

CSA WS output numbers are way off. Thanks to scripted industry structures that appear during the scenario, ws output is close to 100 few turns into the game. Look at my production line, the screen doesn't capture all the artillery I ordered, this is not how csa production should look like. [ATTACH]3...

Sugesstion on AI improvement

After some time with other ageod titles, I returned their most succesfull game for some casual game vs AI. For starters, I started 62 Campaign where Players start with formed command structure. I restrained from using regional decisions since ai doesn't use them properly either. The.tactical game we...

I agree, CSA can withstand it only if they go for all East themselves. That raises a question: should union cities west of appallaches hold much more nm and vp value. The fact they were never contested shouldnt be an issue in this what if strategy.

Against veteran Union player, it's very tough. Gray Fox vs Mickey AAR is a nice read what happens when Union puts everything east under competent leadership. It is not impossible, but very tough to do some damage to him. Try not to spread your Corps too thin. Don't spread them 3 regions wide, that's...

If you are old AACW player, the big difference is you have to invest into 1 ironworks. Ws is more scarce in cw2 until you build some industry.

One is enough, two is ideal. Build them away from the coast, because they can be wulnerable to invasions and will get penalty from blockade, both from brown and blue water blockade.

It seems to me Skibear did what every competitive PBEMer would do. Strip Britain bare of troops, and protect Home turf with the Fleet, not with stationary force. The question is should the game allow it. I think there should be some penalty (VP) for the Brits if they leave GB and Ireland bare of troo...

Welcome Granitestater, nice to see a familar face. I wouldn't try anything naval as the French. British are true beasts on the sea. As on land, you can dominate preety much any nation on the continent. Rule of tumb, fight up to 3 major nation at the same time, and you'll win every time. Don't fight ...

Reason for the difficulty in establishing defensive lines are mostly.time.preiod. In cw2, narrow eastern front made it easy to form a front line, while in teaw abundance of units and different time period made it more easy to do it as well. No classic front lines in this era...

It is not useful at all. The game should give AI bonuses, cheats, to help it withthe issue, but to remove part of thegame because ai cant handle it even when human is leading gbr is not ok.

His in game nationality is actually Russian. I think it was made on purpose so you cant coordinate Montenegros and Serbians to do battle at the same time, andthey did it without adding separate force pool. It works as intended as long as you dont split his Corps.

The game works if you intend to declare war on everyone and conquer the world withou signing peace treaties. If you want to roleplay history, there are few bumps on the way. Russia has been invaded and conquered, but that was with Prussia fully occupied, not with Prussia as neutral nation.
