Re: The Recipe Thread

Philippe, being French I assume you can improve some part of this recipe? Or do you accept that English cuisine has improved since the 70's? (although I suppose this is really in the main a French recipe). One attempts to keep the thread alive on occasion. Any new recipes that anyone would like to s...

Re: How old are you guys ?

29... I have a feeling I'm always into older people's hobbies. No matter whether I'm playing wargames, collecting militaria, building models or reading, I've never stopped feeling like I felt when I was a kid and was playing Aces over Europe and Total Annihilation with my father and his friends :md...

Re: Mais ou sont les neiges d'antan?

Many good things arrive in spring. Maybe it's time to resuscitate the recipe thread. I miss all the weird off topic stuff that we used to post.

Re: Mais ou sont les neiges d'antan?

That's sweet to be remembered Taillebois. All fine here. As Philippe mentioned it's nice to do some work on the new game but a tester I am not. Testing scenarios can become a pain. But the new game looks great and it's fun to make some texts and things for it. We all miss our Queen. I still have a c...

Re: Missing text

I'm playing the main campaign as Parliament but I can see STC_NAM_RECRUITMENTCENTER rather than the text 'Recruitment Center' when I click on London. I happened to notice STC_NAM_REQUISITIONOFFICE3 was also missing at the start of the Naseby scenario. I just added both of these to the appropriate pl...

Re: New patch ?

It is, Mr Hobbes. But until they sort out the annoying WS problem it is basically unplayable as the Royalist as this faction can not capture WS from battles and is severely limited elsewhere how it might get said supply. It seems a shame if the game is pretty close to perfect but there is one outst...

Re: New patch ?

Also see my post earlier. It seems very odd to me that after so much time there are still missing strings in this game. It doesn't imbue confidence in a game when problems that should be so easy to fix go unnoticed. But the game looks good. I look forward to playing it.

Cheers,
Chris

Missing text

Hi folks, I noticed in the Nasby campaign that London has two sets of missing strings: STC_NAM_RECRUITMENTCENTER and STC_NAM_REQUISITIONOFFICE3. In the other scenarios only STC_NAM_RECRUITMENTCENTER is missing, but the other scenarios use STC_NAM_REQUISITIONOFFICE or STC_NAM_REQUISITIONOFFICE2. So t...

Inspection Panel Values

Hi folks, I'm just getting back into AGEOD games after some time away. Can anyone remind me about the meaning of a few values shown in the inspection panel? For a particular leader I can see Protection 4/0, Victory pts. 0/10 and Morale 0/3. Why are there two values for these attributes?

Thanks,
Chris

Re: The Recipe Thread

Hi folks, I thought as we have people from around the world here it might be a good chance to share simple food recipes (yeah I know a bit odd but what the hell). I wish I had known this at 20 :- Hobbes Chicken. Roll some good chicken legs (free range/corn fed) in flour with some salt and pepper. F...

Re: Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and what are you doing these days thread!

Hi Philippe, Happy New year to you and yours. I've decided to be a more pro-active lurker as the new game engine is coming soon. Very excited to see that! I'm playing Order of Battle as it's the perfect Christmas game for a fried brain.

Re: Hobbes v Athena: In Blood and Fire

It seems a great shame that every time the forums are changed things get messed up with old posts. The first change led to duplicate images and the next - only the duplicates remain! :crying:

All things come to an end I suppose.

Nice one, pretty much like my Steam titles (+all other AGEOD non-Steam titles). So many good games, yet so little time. I often tell myself that I will have to play them all once I am a bit old(er) and retired :mdr: You have great taste my friend :) P.S. you will have another...

P.S. the opposite to this sort of pricing is War in the Pacific - Admiral's Edition. £64. To me it's a wonderful but unplayable game due to the time required. I would be long dead before I completed a game but I would be very happy to pay £10 for it just to possess it and maybe play a small scenario.

My desktop at the moment. I've bought most of these games in the past few months during -75% offers or better. Most I will probably never play (and wouldn't have bought at full price). I don't have enough years left to play them all. All look pretty good though. If you get a game for £2 - £5 I think...

I was amazed by this deal. I'm on a break from AGEOD games at the moment having played them for 10 years but I couldn't resist this offer as a way of trying a few that I otherwise wouldn't have bought. I'm worried about how AGEOD and partners will benefit from this though. First game I looked at is ...

Wow. It's very heartening to see you have played it 30 times Shadow! I designed the scenario but it is very rare to get any feedback. I assumed not many people would have played it. I had no idea somebody would have played it so much!

Thanks,
Chris

I played the Strategic Command pacific game a few months ago and quite enjoyed it. There are flaws but it's not bad for at least one full game as each side. I played Uncommon Valor years ago PBEM - pretty good but takes a lot of time + opponents sometimes seem to fade away once they lose a few carri...

P.S. One slightly bizarre app I would recommend is Flightradar24. I think the free version of Neuroshima is good. Depends how much you play it - there are some very interesting factions to be bought in the full game. I bought all as they are only about 60p each. Armies such as Neojungle and Dancer certainly add a lot of interest to the game.

I will definitely get PoE eventually. Got fed up trying to remember how to install BG with all the mods from PC to PC. So many games to play. I'm still trying to learn Crusader Kings 2 (may take me a few years). I want to try a few other AGEOD games as well. Sovereignty: Crown of Kings along with a ...
