Beginner with some questions

Played the original BOA when it first came out - have been away from it for a while and recently picked up WIA. I have a couple of questions. 1.It is Jan-Apr 1777 in the 1775 campaign game as the US - my issue is that I have continental units that are down to one strength point and will not recover ...

Just finished my first campaign: The Revolutionary War as the Americans. I'm looking for advice, but here's what I think I've learned: Well I just finished my second - so not that I am an expert but here goes. 1. It's very easy for all your leaders to get bottled up in one location. I try to get th...

Three Questions

I am currently playing the Maerican in the 1775 campaign - I have three questions. 1. I am still not sure of this - I had Lee and a regiment of Cavarly down south - I took them to a British held level one city and they could not capture it - the area was like 90% insurgent 10% tory and 100% american...

See above for detect bonus. With hard difficulty, I've noticed both sides of 1755 become more challenging, and 1775 as British is a must. Don't know about US 1775, as it seems like an impossible task on normal :) Dinsdale Do you mean playing as the British in 1775 you need to give the American AI s...

First Campaign Finished

Just finished my first campaign as the Americans in the 1775 campaign. Controlled every objective October of 1781 playing against the AI with all settings normal and the AI having extra time. I have a couple questions and observations. 1. I think overall the AI played well. The only glaring mistake ...

Couple other questions

Two questions:

1. Can cities be destroyed instead of just captured? I have destroyed Indian villages and forts, but am wondering about cities.

2. Can I safely delete folders and files in the "Saves" folder using windows explorer?

Thanks for any help

jcrohio, I'm in Lexinton, KY and a reconstruction of Ft. Boonesboro is about a hlaf hour from my house. That is one of the many reasons I really like this game, it's being fought in my neiborhood. I like to imagine that two hundred and twenty years ago, Indian war parties were moving through my fro...

Then I have a question (probably a stupid one as the answer is probably obvious) - I am currently playing the 1778 Tory Indian scenario - to win you need you need six controlled objectives - but your force only consists of 5 regular units (there are two more in Albany but they are fixed and have st...

Thanks for the reply - that explains things very well. What about #2 - use of the "END" key from the keyboard. I think that would be a nice feature and it does not seem to be working as stated.

Thanks again - Jack

Confused about Control for Victory Points

I still don't understand controlling towns for the purpose of "Controlled Objectives". I know if the region contains regular units the town is considered a "Controlled Objective". What I don't understand is making a town a "Controlled Objective" by control. One thread mentions 51% military control i...

New to Game - some questions

Just bought the game through digital download - very simple and quick - 15 minutes to download. I am currently: 1. Playing the tutorial 2. Playing the short scenarios 3. Reading the manual 4. Reading through these forums I have some questions please: 1. This is trivial but I found the following - to...
