Generalstabshauptquartier Generaloberst Von Moltke Saarbourg, Early September 1914 Your Imperial and Royal Majesty Sire, news from the various theaters have been rather ambiguous. Some dispatches spoke of great victories, some of blunder and disaster. It pains me to inform Your Imperial Majesty, tha...

Hoffmann Event

Hey guys

I'd like to know how often you get to use the Card in PBEM. I myself have only seen it being played once; when I attacked Königsberg. In any PBEM since then, the Russians simply stay clear of German soil and the card never gets played.

Improved Grand Campaign via Addon?

Is there a distant possibility, with a future addon mayhaps, to get an "improved" 1914 Grand Campaign? In all the TEAW PBEMs I've ever played, it's been one of the two 1914 Grand Campaigns. This might be due to subjective taste, but well, I can only speak for myself anyways =). Still, one always has...

In the later game (post early 1915) I try to keep Corps detached from Armies. (1) Because I like a coherent frontline and (2) I like the additional maneuverablity. With one big Army Stack (3-4) Corps attached, I might take a region or ravage one enemy force; with one Army Stack and 3-4 detached Corp...

The abolitionists didn't oppose slavery because of their Christian beliefs, but in spite of it. Crediting it to the god of the bible was, if anything, wishful thinking. There is nothing in the bible against slavery, but plenty of verses that the slave owning class used to justify the institution. B...

What a day to remember a war that should never have been fought in the first place. Lee was right, slavery would have died a natural cause. With all the money burnt during the war, they probably could have bought them out five times over. Instead the evil had to be cleansed by the a righteous flame,...

God, what a man Lee was. No wonder, none of his daughters ever married.

I don't think I've read more on any other person. Even after the marble is seperated from the man. What an extraordinary leader of men.

If there is a significant (in the sense that you think it's worth playing the Hoffmann card) number of Russians on actual German soil, play the card and they will lock the next turn and have their cohesion lowered. If Germany goes with the Moltke plan though, I doubt there will be many Russians on G...

As far as your Slitherine troubles go, you should contact them directly. Same would go for the Matrix issues. What's meant by positive votes are positive reviews. If you select a game in your Steam Library, there is a list of links associated with it on the right edge of the window. The bottom one (...

Yea, I guess. Matrix hasn't had a big presence on Steam in the past, at least as far as I can recall. Same goes for Ageod. I remember there being PoN and Civil War only I think. Granted, those probably were the bigger titles but still, Matrix seems to still be porting titles over to Steam more and m...

Awesome. The more, the merrier. Unfortunately I'm busy right now, but I will expand the "How to" section and post in a couple more Community Hubs to attract players that don't usually visit Forums much. Quite a slow start, but I guess Steam is not very popular in the Wargaming community.

@Byrd I think the minesweepers are more or less USELESS, we had some debate about their "CLEANING MINES" but nothing came out of it. In PBEM, the WE player has a very big advantage, why? British Army a-historically is fully deployed including Colonials and Indians on Western Front by October 1914. ...

I've seen that multiple times, in the case when there is disputed Military Control. The supposed attacker just sits by and no battle is initiated. The only way to get a battle going is for the supposed Defender to attack all out. No idea why or if this is the case here. Looks familiar though.
