Hi lightsfantastic, did you get an error message when processing the script.ini with the game? If yes, the script log would be helpful. Dear developers: Is the downloadable BoA DB the most recent one? I won't have time to take a close look to your scenario today, sorry. (But tomorrow, I hope.) Chee...

Please do but some thoughts, my opinion. While I support ANY effort to end the suffering in Darfur I fear nothing will happen unless the UN, the G8, G20, etc, establishes a sort of rogue regime council that actually has some balls. We have a system to rehabilitate failed economies, the IMF . A count...

In the Grand Campaign, starting 1775, in 1776 the US gain the Continental Navy, consisting of the Bonne Homme Richard and Blockard Runners. What is the best use for this units? - As I see because of the supply rules blocking any ports is of only little use; and for hindering the British Navy the US...

yup, but if a stack melt away, this is abnormal, unless there is a bug :) so don't hesitate to watch out for this effect, this would be a major issue, and fixing it would do much good for the AI in contrary. In that case, playing a modded 1.12a (Depots only give 12 supply, all other structures at 1...

yes weather is taken into account, but is integrated in the check for supply autonomy, reasoning being that if you have an autonomy significantly above 2 turns, then it means you have supply wagons and can move in winter thanks to the supply wagon shielding rule. It used to works right at a time, p...

AI behaivior and is it modable?

The reason I'm asking is I continue to see the AI move around large stacks in Winter. To me that is killing the AI's force pool more than restrictive supply points . I have been going over the AILog in the Log folder, but haven't seen it do a check for weather. (BTW if you want to know how hard it i...

the problem would not be in the biggest cities, but in the small network of towns that cover the map, and which are very important for the British AI and to a lesser extent to the American one (players suffer less from stringent rules than the AI also). If you want a British AI that don't melt her ...

More supply distributed by structures: (dynamically applied to current games) (per level) Indian village: 2 > 3 Harbor: no change City: 1 > 2 Depot: 10 > 20 Fort: 5 > 6 (these values can be tweaked by users, in the gamedata\structures directory) I have been playing 1.12 with these values. In a human vs human game, the new supply rules are very interesting and add a new challenge. I would hope the current supply rules could be retained as an option. I would probably choose the stricter supply rules in human vs human PBEM games. But then, I would probably select the more lenient suppl...

F & I Observations and French AI behaivior

Have played a couple of F & I Grand Campaigns with 1.12 and have not seen Crown Point built. The French were in control of the area through 1759, but no Fort. Also have seen too much French activity with regulars, militia, troops Marine, in the winter instead of entering winter quarters. With their ...

In one of my PBEM's, I ambushed and captured an unescorted supply wagon deep in enemy territory. From my re-education about the F&I war, until Pitt took over in 1758 and basically ran up the UK national debt by promising to repay the debts the colonies incurred in fighting the war, a lot of Colonial merchants still dealt with the French as it was quite lucrative. Maybe a yearly event that gives...

If Pocus did not tweak down the number of supply units from 1.11 then it is a question of proper planning in the early going as you cannot do everything at once. As of February 1757, I have a force in Oswego who just built a Depot and has 1 supply wagon left, a force in Boston with three supply (one...

I started a new F & I War Campaign today w/ 1.12 and have found the Supply rules changing the style of game I play. Example: I took Fort Duquesne in November of 1756 with one supply at 50% at time of assault, 2 Reg, 1 Militia, 1 Artillery, and 1 Ranger. In January I get a Penn. Militia added. Withou...
