Had to test that right away, didn't work though Very weird....,maybe we'll get a patch sometime, that might solve this problem. I get no error messages whatsoever, so there is no hint on what could be wrong.
Another observation is, that when I annihilate an entire army, sometimes its leader stays put in the given territory. He will never move again and cannot be attacked. At the moment I think I have 4 or 5 of those generals sitting around doing nothing. Maybe these leaders were supposed to be taken cap...
Hello all, Started playing Thirty Years War some days ago and I am deep into the Catholic campaign. I am a bit disappointed about the AIs bahviour regarding supply, as it seems it loses quite a lot of troops wandering around the landscape, which makes it rather easy to beat him. But I guess that' ju...
There definitely is a lot text to read with a smal font, so I read it too fast and missed the important information. Maybe it would be more obvious if there was a bullet point with the conditions like in the Nota Bene additions. On the other hand, that would add even more text, so I am not sure.
Hello, I have a problem with the declaration of war on Romania as the Red player in RUS Gold. You have to declare war on Romania before late September of 1919 or Bukarest will be overrun by the French. For several months I tried to activate the option in the diplomacy menu, but it just does not fire...
Hello all, Hope this is the right thread to ask: Despite owning the game since release it is the first time I play it. Starting with Prussia in 1850, Archduke Ferdinand is assasinated on my second turn. I tried to edit the event file like mentioned on the first few pages, I think by Loki, but to no ...
I just hope there will be a decent AI and that they are working on advancing good old Athena in that regard. The AI currently, like in AJE, sadly is no competent adversary anymore, when you gained some knowledge of the game. That is the biggest point for me concerning a future buy.
Hey all, As Civil War II is on a sale at the moment, I thought about maybe buying it, although I do not have the time to play right now (besides Pride of Nations is still waiting on my list as well). So I wondered how does it compare to part one? Is it worth the buy, if I also own ACW? What aspects ...
Going to start a new game tomorrow. I plan to go with the Reds as I already played the other two. Never with FY of course, so I guess I am up to a tough challenge
Thank you very much for the files! It would be of course great to get the fix, as I do not want to start a game, which is sure to crash at a certain date. So I hope anjou might see this thread. Otherwise I will gladly wait a week, if you would be so kind to provide me with the fix then
Hello all, I wanted to start a new game of RUS in the coming days with the Fatal Years mod. Does anyone know where I can find the latest version? Clovis website is down and I do not seem to be able to find it anywhere. Never tested it before, but I heard that it enhances the vanilla game quite a bit?
Great to hear that the support is going on. I haven't even touched PON, yet, in spite of owning it since its release, as the bugs and glitches I have been reading about diminished my interest. So hopefully new patch will come out with even more improvements and fixes
Very cool that the foreign troops have their own AI now. I love having a NPC on my side and not having to control new masses of troops on my own. In my eyes this increases the immersion into the game!
What I would like is, for all future AGE games, that there are fewer different units with a stronger emphasis on their different roles. For example, a few units of a certain type would give an initiative bonus in wooden terrain or a higher chance to kill enemy generals and so on. So you have to look...
I like what I have read and seen so far. Looking forward to the next diaries. What I never got though, is the variety of the units. In none of the AGE games :neener: I always recruited (or tried to) the "strongest" unit (eg. Line infantry, Roman Cohorts etc) of a given type (Inf, Cav, Art) as I neve...
But hey, that was before I reconquered Rome I destroyed every Pontian army and the Populares........but still got only a minor victory because Utica didn't want to surrender. Better luck with the Populares then
Hey Franciscus, It is not about the national morale. Playing as Mithridates, when one of the Roman factions' morale goes below 25, you automatically win even if the other faction is still in shape. But what I meant is that there are scenarios where you also fight more than one opponent and if you be...
Hello again, And another question: In the scenario Marius vs. Sulla I am playing as the Optimates and killed Mithridates some turns before and now caputred Sinope, the capital. Is Pontus supposed to surrender at a certain point or do I have to keep them in check until I also finished off the Popular...
My last game with Sertorius was cut short, because the Slaves conquered Rome before I could take my last goal, Massilias. But well, at least I got a "Victory" and the 2nd place...
Thanks again! One last question though. I just played as Pontus and everything worked fine so far. One minor issue was, that the Romans seemed to have plenty of reinforcements besides losing against me, Sertorius and the slaves. I beat them fair and square, held all my objectives for maybe 20 turns ...
So this basicly means that I do not get a notification if Sertorius did not accept it (or could not, due to too few EP) and thus it is just displayed as if nothing happened, right?
Thank you very much for help, Franciscus! Now I only have to find out how to keep my armies feeded
Take your time, Franciscus! No need to hurry, I appreciate your help and it's not like I am sitting in front of AJE all day :) Btw, I do not know if it is normal, but I have a heck of a problem to feed my troops as Pontus. I am barely able to keep one bigger army fed. Only in Sinope. Damn difficult...
