Yes, with random variations.

Click on the tab with the corps, then mouse over the Corps diamond icon on the lower right of the display.

Any way to scale up the Unit Panel?

ACW II fan, but new to RUS.

Monitor is 24" running at 1920x1200.

The Unit Panel at the bottom seems much smaller than I'm used to in ACW II. In fact, it strains my eyes to see the numbers...

Is there any way to scale it to be larger?

There is no limit to the amount of artillery you can put in a division, other than divisions are limited to 18 elements. ... but you may want to save those slots for supply wagons, pontoons, or other units that can't go into a division. those elements are all free (0 command pts.) to add to the cor...

Conscripts upgrade to Regulars. Regulars doesn’t upgrade. Elite doesn’t upgrade. I don’t know if there are plans to give Regulars a chance to upgrade to Elite. Some of the confusion for me is the difference between what a Training Officer (e.g. Halleck), and a Training Master (e.g...

Militia go to Conscripts, Volunteers go directly to Regulars.

However, neither Conscripts nor Regulars will upgrade, right? :w00t:

Just to be clear, truth in advertising and all that, even though the forces screen has many good features and improvements, there is no way to find generals by NAME (unless the tab reflects that name).

IMHO, adding a name column would be an upgrade and improvement. :p ompom:

Personally, I feel that if this is to be used for large bodies of troops, it could be misused for ahistorically large redeployments of troops all over the map. +1 I really don't like the new way. I support redeployment, the way it now works, but for generals and support troops ONLY. Thanks for list...

Political cost still exist if you promote lower seniority generals over higher seniority generals. It also exist if you appoint a general to army head with more senior generals without army command. True that, but the point is that only beginners will ever pay the penalty. There doesn't seem to be ...

I would like a screen where I could move elements between different divisions (containers). You have the beginnings of this ability when you hover over a commander's stars and you can see the units under his command. If you could freeze that and then bring up the same box of a different commander t...

And separating the active generals from the inactive ones does nothing? When an entire stack freezes due to a failed activation check, (big red stripe in the upper right hand corner of each and every unit), it's just like a stack that is frozen at the start of the game. Note that this is the most s...

Victory Points vs. National Morale

Are the rules unchanged from ACW1 concerning the effects of NM, IIRC its impacts on combat resolution and fund raising, et. al.? OTOH, VPs are just a number at the end of the game. If the rules are unchanged, decisions that involve NM or VPs seems like a no brainer..... Does anybody even think twice...

Generals all locked up in one really big jail cell

If you play with the most severe of the activation options on, then if an activation check is failed, the entire stack may be locked and frozen for 1 turn. If that stack happens to be the big pile of new generals for the year, then they are all completely useless! :grr: This can continue for several...

Right, there was a cost for the buying of HQ :) Ideally we would want a mechanism were the game surveys if generals have enough troops, and by enough, a senior general probably expects to command at least as much troops as a junior one. As you say, that's improvement... What I hear you saying is th...

One idea i had for AACW 2 is to increase the probability of epidemics when mixing units of different states together. It seems like deaths by disease were overlooked in the game, more than twice as many soldiers died from disease as did those from enemy guns. see http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthre...

Now I'm just speculating as a former programmer....

I would want each region's data to mean the same thing, whether or not it is (currently) contigious to the main map or not.

Hence the label: "Number of days to enter this region (only)".

Could be off here, but my interpretation is- 17 day total time.

This breaks down into 2 days to the jump off point, 4 days for just the Laredo region, and 11 days "off map" transit time.

Army commander muscles into battle?

This is weird (1.16)... When Hooker attacks Johnson at Washington DC, the battle result shows McDowell as leading and the hothead trait in effect. McDowell is in a defensive stance inside DC with a completely different set of troops. Corps have not yet been activated. (This is just a game I've been ...
