Duplicate Confederate Generals

Something that I also noted on the Matrix forum: "Playing the "Struggle for the Heartland" as Confederates. Early March 1862, turn 2. Many General duplications: WHF Lee shown under both The Army of the Mississippi and the '62 Division Generals' pool. Edward P. Alexander under both Joe Johnson's Rese...

IMHO, these seem to be very valid changes; and would benefit those of us looking for a more historical tilt to the game.

Having just purchased the game, thanks for your comments and notes on this scenario. Although I have played many of AGEOD's titles and understand the UI basics, I usually have issues w/ initial strategy.

I am not certain, but I think there are two fixes needed to make the newest patch perfect. As of three games, there has been no closing of ports due to frozen water. This may also impact the Great Lakes with not freezing during the coldest months. I have been monitoring and have yet to see a port f...

Will probably wait until the beta is posted here.

I did a reinstallation of AACW for this patch rather than applying it on top of a previous beta. My signatures are signatures, not flags. So far so good! Is there anything I should look for in playing? I did a completely new install and then applied 1.16 rc2 and sigs are now sigs and not flags. Tha...

I installed this RC2 patch over my existing Beta8 plus QF7 installation on a Windows 7 SP1 RC OS. I just quickly played through a few turns of the '61 Campaign w/ Kentucky. So far, so good. All 3 issues I reported in the beta thread have been fixed. I was a bit worried that the QF7 files would be a...

So when did the game finish? End of Nov.-Dec. 1919 turn?? If so, this is the natural end of the game, let's say the max turn number. That means nobody surrendered in the end. This would explain the zero VPs. Indeed the World Domination happens if VPs are below 7 pts, that commonly happens when you ...

Thanks for looking at the saves. Think I probably saved the games well after the surrender/rejoin the war messages. Sorry for wasting your time on these saves. I've deleted these turns so will try to save a future turn w/ the same occurrence.

No they don't apparently re-join the war...I have seen this in all my games and no biggie. However, in the saves I sent to Calvinus I think Britain surrendered and rejoined in two consecutive turns. Cornfusing to me :)

Calvinus,

If you get some time, could you look at the attached game saves. Britain seems to surrender on each turn and then the screen pops up that they have joined the Entente. Now I don't know what the status of the surrender is?

Thanks.

I have also seen the same messages after a country surrenders, i.e. the country joins the war... I have ignored the messages but it does looks a little strange  .
