Oh boy, another good McClellan discussion. I actually don't mind using McClellan, as in real life there are a few good purposes for him. He can train militia to infantry quickly, and his skills improve (though maybe not his stats) sometime around the first call to advance on Richmond runs out. If I ...

Could be caused by a few different things... Does this city have a depot? If not, than it might have trouble distributing those supplies to your force for some reason. Is the starving force in a region that has a road or rail connecting it to the city? and has that rail been cut? Is the region at le...

Hmmm, I must admit that there are a few points to your reply that ring unclear with me, so please allow me to clarify... You say that you intend to use the latest patch, which I assume refers to the latest OFFICIAL patch, which is 1.15? Am I mistaken about this? Well, I am currently using the latest...

Seeking union opponent for beta match

I'm looking to play as the confederacy in an 1861 campaign w/kentucky. I'm using the beta version (1.16rc4a). I prefer no redeployments and historical attrition, but I'm open to other settings or rules.

Opponent for '61 campaign

I'm playing the latest beta version, (beta 8, or 9 I suppose, with quickfix7). I don't mind playing as either north or south. I can do 1 turn/day with perhaps more some days.

I'm seeking an opponent for the 1861 Kentucky Campaign with no redeployments, and historical attrition. I don't mind playing as either north or south, so you can have your preference. I can do several turns a day for the next few weeks until school starts again, and then I can do 2-4 turns per week....

Been away for awhile...

I've been away from the game since 13b and now I've patched to 15 and would like to try it out. I can do 1-2 turns per day for the next few weeks and then I can do a few turns per week after that (back to school). Looking for April '61 with Kentucky campaign. I can play as either Yanks or Rebs...

if you use the E,R keys you can cycle through through all your available land units that dont have movement orders...this includes units that have just completed training, I usually use these before ending the turn to make sure I haven't neglected anything. Early nothern cavalry

While Im at it, some may disagree on this as well and it may not work for the game...even though I've only played as the union, I believe early period southern cavalry should be superior in quality than northern cavalry. This is to represent not only the historical result of the war, but the conditi...

Flanking?

Just wanted to add this to the wishlist. Some may not agree, but I think it bears consideration. I had wondered about giving a bonus/benefit to units attacking on multiple fronts (attacking from 2 or more different regions) or simply a disadvantage to units being forced to fight on multiple fronts. ...

I believe that if the 2 forces arrive at seperate times, then it should be handled as 2 seperate engagements with no bonus for flanking. But if a force is forced to fight on 2 seperate fronts it is only basic logic that they should have to do so at a disadvantage. Also if a force is engaged and it b...

Turning their flank?

I was curious, is there any benefit in the game to attacking on more than one front at a time? If you are attacking the same region and bring forces on the opponent from 2 or more other regions that border it, do you get a bonus for turning their flank, or a chance to rout, or some other benefit? Or...
