does heavy artillery come into play only during assaults on fortified positions and forts, or do they have a more passive effect which occurs even when no attacks are being carried out. i.e. are the forts being shelled even though you're not assaulting every turn?

Wow, it is getting better all of the time. agreed. this new addition to the ageod lineup looks terriffic. what really impresses me about this and all ageod games though, is the heart and soul the team manages to instill in their games due to their passion for history, excellent game development, an...

i like this idea for regiment naming and details and such as well, but in general it hasn't seemed to be well received or even contemplated really. :( maybe it's too much work or theres bigger problems or i'm just obsessive compulsive, but i think it'd be neat.

To return to the original topic. It seems that we have gained chrome by the addition of BG's names to brigades, but have lost the state affiliations. The elements are generic infantry. cavalry or arty and the Bde's usually have no state names. These generic elements tend to be what is seen during t...

i'll have to check for sure, but i think they're the larger (union) cavalry brigades with both cavalry and artillery elements. but they have not sustained any losses as yet so i don't think the artwork would have been replaced by that. i can post a screen shot later tonight if it would be helpful

not a big deal, but has there been any talk of giving regimental names or numeric designations based on their state (for brigades larger than one element), like the brigades present at the beginning of scenarios for example, to elements of newly created brigades instead of the generic "infanty" or "...

You cannot form a corps outside the range of an army. You can, however, form a corps, then move it outside the range of the army, where it will retain its corps status (and doubling of command points), at least until it's on board a ship. ah ok, when i saw this i didn't really understand it i guess...

Army Naming

this isn't really a big deal, but i've recently bought this game and in my first game i've been trying some strategies which deviate from history a bit. so when i formed an army in new york city (playing as the feds) it was named the Army of the Tennesse.
