I've just learned today that I had an ancestor who fought in the IIIème Régiment Suisse under Bonaparte and was awarded of the Légion d'Honneur after Battle of France in 1813. He was the lieutenant Jean Équey, a small noble from Fribourg with coat of arms and all the stuff... I knew that a family br...

On the other hand, when Paradox Interactive gave up a free copy of WIA to everyone who had suscribed to their newsletter a few years ago, did it bring out hordes of new player discovering this wonderful gem of a strategy game ? It didn't. Giving away free games or selling them out for a couple of bu...

I'm not so an hardcore wargamer. However I'm looking on Hannibal (...) Hannibal: Rome and Carthage in the Second Punic War (for its complete title) is definitely a very good solo game ! The AI is tough, the art design gives a nice ancient mood inspired by Tabula Peutingeriana and the gameplay is we...

I had a brief look over french provinces. Here are my observations : Two spellings : 318 Ronceveaux should be spelled Roncevaux 404 St_Afrique should be spelled Saint_Affrique (with 2 F) Which asks the questions of cities named after saints. Some are complete (Saint-X), a few are spelled St-Y. Here ...

I don't fully understand your message, but please know that I made my reported Sertorius game after downloading the official patch which was just released at the moment (my report is just a few days later). I remember that a while ago it was considered solved. Is it just back? It is marked as solved in the last patch, but it's obviously not. Ageod on Mac ?

Are your games available on Mac ? I'd like to introduce an old friend to computer wargaming with your most excellent games, but he's PC-o-phobiac and almost computer-illiterate. Therefore, he can only "plug and play" a game and doesn't know (and doesn't want to know) anything else. So no WINE or oth...

I think there is still an issue with pirates. In a Sertorius game (save files attached), the way from Massilia to Nicaea is hold by pirates with 100 % military control. There is no troop, but the provinces belong to them, and I can't cross their borders, they say they're neutral : http://tof.canardp...

Although I have a lot of interest in Ancien Régime history and ardently desire wargames that brillantly depicts the period, I think the major flaw of designing scenarios for such wars is accuracy of available OOB, when they are not totally missing ! Until now, Ageod databases needed precise OOB with...
