I have to say the game looks great, as did the original Napoleon’s Campaigns (although the text for the regions like ‘Surrey’ or ‘Normandy’ is hideous! It looks like some back alley graffiti has been sprayed all over my map – can this be modded into a different t...

The chances of Romania eventually joining the war are considerable and if it joins on the side of the Central Powers, Russia's problems increase if only because the defendable front becomes about eight or nine provinces longer with the existing force levels to take up the slack. Getting Romania on ...

Good grief! Is this how it always works with AGEOD titles? As far as I know, the game was only announced in May, and now it's been released with no real run-up. I'm used to Paradox, which announces games about a year in advance with a target quarter-year, and then gives you a release date several w...

I am not sure I can agree with either of you. While Britain did gain some significant support from its home front after the invasion of Belgium, there is almost no documentation that Britain wish to avoid the coming war. To have the scenario play out as you wish, the game would need to back up at l...

The problem isn't the suicidal French attacks. Though the game would be more fun - and equally historical - if the French effort wasn't always, every single time, incessantly directed at Metz. The initial French attacks historically extended over a much broader area, and a bit of uncertainty would a...

When I first got the game, I assumed that the campaign with the early start date would include a diplomacy round where nations could try to influence the diplomatic situation before the shooting started. Very disappointed to find, instead, that the early campaign is nothing more than a means to pick...

If you don't mind peeking into the enemy side a bit, you can load the game as the other side and see exactly what they have there. I'd be interested to see what you find. Egypt gives a grand total of 2 money to the British, so holding it for the resources is pretty pointless. Not holding land provinces doesn't prevent you from traveling through canals, AFAIK. Even if it did, going around Africa is shorter than going through the Suez if you want to reach anywhere oth...

There are hard-coded limits to the number of GHQs. Every major nation is limited to one, except Germany which gets two. Minors (like Serbia) can't create GHQs at all.

EAW has the "easy" march-to-the-sound-of-guns rule, which is quite cool if you ask me. You need to care less about your actual OOB, apart from the principal front armies. All corps will MttSoG as long as their Generals are set to do this (no passive mode, etc) and the right dice is thrown. I genera...

Same as in cw2, they need to be in the same province. Not ideal, but I think that may be engine limitation. But as long as stacks help each other by MTSG (Reserve force might be better term for the era), they will participate in the battle. Thanks. I assumed your "region" and my "province" are the ...
