Beautiful, how it fared operationally? Well, the Dutch didn't have the opportunity to use them in anger :-) But dog traction was very common for small carts at the time around here. My great grandfather did have a dog cart to go sell his groceries to farmers. So it would have been without many surp...

Ah, yes. Sorry bothering you about it then.

The locking must have happened unconsciously.

Graphical glitch in HAN?

In HAN I noticed this lock icon on the (border of the) tab of a released force, while the garrison that really is locked doesn't have this lock icon.

I assume it is a graphical glitch.

Like with other AGEod games that use the new Matrix installers, starting the game-menu now triggers a warning popup "do you want to give installer rights...". Although this is just a nuisance, I don't like it, and I wonder what does trigger this behaviour? I can understand it when I use the update f...

Umlauts will display properly on some computers, while on some they will not. I am sure that is the reason they avoided them. It is the same with French and Slav provinces. The option has unfortunately been set off in one of the configuration files.

You can set it on again. Search the forum because I don't remember exactly where it was.

I suspect Pocus has done it, because he really seems to hate going back to that piece of code to repair it for the newer games :-)

Durk, are you sure about that? I was under the impressions you always need chits for any kind of re-strengthening (no matter if full elements or just "life points") - only that if you only restore life points, then there is a ? % chance to lose a chit and if you get a new element, you 100 % lose a ...

Being inactive is not one of the factors listed in the GameLogic.opt file. The GameLogic file has a great number of adjustable variables for many of the mechanics of the game. This file lists all the other factors that contribute to marching success, so I would take it as a reason to think that bei...

AI in the 4 player game

Let me add a remark - a bit off topic - about the AI in the 4 player game. I think the 4 player game against the AI offers some nice scenario's if you play the French, Russians or Austrians, as you can concentrate on one front. The limitations of the AI work both ways in this case, as, with good pla...
