Beginners Questions

Because AJE is coming, I am starting up RoP to try to get into the system once more (last time I gave up after the Saxony scenario because the complexity of the complete campaign). I decided to start with the 1762-1764 campaign, because that one is the shortest, as Austrian player, because I hope it...

I also think that the names of three areas North of the Rhine are shuffled: - Trajectum: in this region (there were many more places named Trajectum, which just means 'ford', the closest being Maastricht) is Utrecht, which is in the game region named Frisii. This Utrecht Trajectum was just one of th...

Dutch Coastline

Although it is mostly outside the playing area of the current scenario's, I would like to point out that the coastline of the Netherlands at the time was quite different from that of today, and the way it is depicted in the map. Especially the coast of Zeeland, in the South-West corner didn't consis...

He is a reasonably good read, but don't believe everything he says.

Julius Caesar himself was a good writer, but again, don't believe everything he says :-)

I think it may have been caused by trying to move the map during the execution of the turn (because the map shifted away from the action) I played a couple of short games afterwards, and didn't touch the map while the turn was processed and the problem didn't come back. Still, the repositioning of t...

Cannot close window

Version 1.02

Battlereport main window won't close when I click the close button (V)

It did close when I right click anywhere on the map.

But the end of scenario result window wouldn't close in any way, and I couldn't return to the menu.

I had to kill the process with the task manager.

Well, Server 2003 (NT 5.2) is higher than XP (NT 5.1), thank you very much.

Do you know anything else useful?

Demo game doesn't load

I have downloaded the demo, installed it, but when I start the game, it runs for a few seconds (see the hourglass icon), and then it stops. I had exactly the same thing with the demo for Napoleon's Campaign. I do use an unusual Windows version: Windows Server 2003, and some games warn me that the ve...
