The map shows "Bowling Greene" in central Kentucky. I'm not an American, but this is "Bowling Green" (no final 'e') on the maps I've seen and Wikipedia's entry describing the city. Also, in normal English "bowling green" has no final 'e'. It is possible to find a few examples of "Bowling Greene" on...

Minor problem with the 1st tutorial

This isn't a game killer, but it does casue a little confusion. And I played it three times with the same result each time. When playing the first tutorial, all is OK until I get all my units to Henry. Then the weather turns bad. (Blizzard according to the info panel) I can capture Decaturville with...

Any idea why I get this?
Do they not take VISA Debit cards?

I don't think they take any debit card. My Mastercard debit card didn't work either.

I've tried twice and keep geting an "order canceled" message.

EDIT -- For some reason it won't take my Mastercard (which is a debit card). I tried a Visa card and it worked fine.

Is there a way to view the images at fulll size? When I click on them I can't make out any detail and the page says to click on the image to make it full sized. When I click on the image instead of the full size image I get taken to an imageshack login/add photo screen instead of the image.

as for the oppponent reverting to AI, this is when you do the first turn on both side, and then play only one side after. The game detect that a human player has not submitted his orders. That's the thing... I only played as the U.S. side. I moved my men and hit the next turn button. The AI handled...

Sorry if this sounds stupid now: But you are sure that you close the previous report before attempting to open the next one? If not the screen will only center on the new battle location but not open the new report. I closed it. It wouldn't even center at the location either. Okay... just tried Gre...

1.10e problem? I am besieging quebec, and have killed all defenders. It shows the battle needle every day of the turn, but no results. It won't let me capture the city. I also received the message that ‘One of our comanders, John Pridaux was killed at Quebec.’ I’m playing the British and that is a ...

Thanks I must look that book up. I remember now that Lincoln Memorial University was also funded by Col. Harland Sanders of KFC, and the original KFC was in Corbin. He was a trustee for a while. So was Alvin York. :) The school was founded by O.O Howard and they have a large collection of his stuff...

Hi LMUBill The collection of photographs and other memorabilia at your Lincoln Museum is superb. Is Stephen M Wilson still at the museum? I could have spent even more time there back in 2003 when he was showing me round, but unfortunately my wife was taken ill while we were there. Yep. He's still h...

Yes, we went to the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum, and also Red Clay State Historic Park on the way up from Atlanta. I missed Martin's Fort :p leure: but did see some bison up near the Red River Gorge in Kentucky. Martin's Fort has only been complete for 2-3 years. And there are bison all over the pla...

Fort Loudon is pretty isolated today so it must have real wilderness in 1750. :indien: But they have done a superb job with the restoration, and it has a beautiful setting on the lake. You are a lucky man LMUBill living in that region. :hat: Actually you had 10-12 Cherokee towns within 20 miles or ...

My CD arrived and even :p apy: I was able to install the game, and the up to date patch. So far it all works including the interesting 1813 scenario, any chance of a southern War of 1812 scenario in the future. Thanks. :hat: I'd like to see one too but wouldn't they have to make a new map to includ...

I know this is kicking a dead Army mule, but the "partisan" shown here does not resemble any partisan I have ever read about. For one thing, he is in a full, if somewhat overdone, uniform. He also has a bayoneted musket. Partisans didn't do bayonet drill, and didn't use bayonets. A shotgun would be...

Our Beta team members (most of them Americans) have already had a chance to go over the USA map for ACW. We used 1860 county names for the regions, and we did some small corrections here and there. Of course, we can only correct what is mentionned as wrong to us. :innocent: But if you are ready to ...

Map question

Sorry if this has been asked before but will you be posting a copy of the map here before the game comes out? Maybe we can help with some details/region names/etc. that you might have incorrect. For instance, in BoA you have Cumberland Gap drawn on the map in about the right location even if it is i...

In James McPherson's "Battle Cry of Freedom", he mentions that at the end of the war, one Confederate state (Alabama, I think) was found to have about 35,000 brand new uniforms in storage while the Confederate armies were marching in shreds. The state refused to release the new uniforms to the fede...
