The prestige gauge is incorrect. When your nation is in the lead, the index is to the left (red) side of the gauge. When your nation is losing, your index is on the green side. Major use of rubber historically was for tires in automobiles invented in the late 1890's and used in large numbers starting in 1900. My guess is that the game will do the same.

Stop whining and give this issue some perspective. PON with Patch 1.02 is absolutely outstanding! Good job by Paradox, AGEOD and heaven help us, Steam. Enjoy the game and enjoy the Paradox/AGEOD gaming community that is also PHENOMENAL! And yes, it was a pain to copy the game out of the Steam folder...

For the first time ever, the Steam patch to 1.02 from 1.01 went flawlessly and without a hitch. Maybe, just maybe, the Steam platform is not so bad. And THANKS for a GREAT patch 1.02!

Problem solved with patch 1.02 from Steam. Still slow to load and turn processing still somewhat slow, but what a great game! Viva La France!

Patch 1.02 works great and they have solved the coal shortage! Still some path finding issues with France, but nothing major. Game is great and very playable. Viva La France!

It is difficult to micro manage the F11 screen. I would like to turn off all unprofitable businesses that are losing 7 pounds or more. If I had a button to do this, it would make the game easier, better, and faster.

Occasionally, the game will hang upon starting. Just press the escape key a couple of times and the game will go to the menu screen. If the game then says you want to quit just say no and play. Viva La France!

Please make sure that your troops are present and in force. Game counts MP(military points) and CP (colonial penetration) as both being important. Good luck!

Only problems so far are the long load times when starting the game and this is manageable as long as the game play is worthwhile. These economic crises are difficult. I tend to raise tax revenues to the max and the crisis goes away, but my population revolts. Any suggestions?

Were the patch safe and soundly out the door and nearer birthday season, I'd find the funds to make gifts of the game at such a bargain price. Current Patch M is a pleasure! Game works flawlessly and never crashes and the music is absolutely outstanding. Now we need some cheats and a trainer or two...
