Forts Firing on Blockading Ships

Do blockade squadrons count as "passing ships" for forts engaging them, so they get shot at every turn if seeking to blockade? Are there nuances to how this works?

Thanks.

Curious if it is now impossible to be penalized for not exercising CBs if such declaration of war is not possible (e.g., target is a satellite).

One misses corps both for Command reasons and evening out losses within each unit. Having divisions or smaller front-line units means they are liable to be targeted and wiped out in a hard fight rather than just absorbing losses along with the rest of the "unit." When there are only divisions and a ...

It is rare but had the same "lack of transport"-driven problem in PON when an occupying power agreeing to peace. Ships transporting troops were involved - takes a prior save or reconstructive scripting surgery to spawn those units again.

Were there ships involved?

This is already being looked at. In another thread I reported a few days ago Spain without any DOW option to exercise its CB against Georgia arising from Georgia declaring against France. I wondered if it might be a monarch rating or satellite issue, but France's ratings are high.

Same thing in the new game with Spain. Spain gained a casus belli against Georgia: "The defensive treaty we have with France give us a Casus Beli against Georgia, as they are attacking our ally." Spain's treaties in effect indeed show Black Cloud 5/10 Spain > Georgia but with Georgia as the target t...

1. Cities of importance and multiple structures can have substantial automatic garrisons that muster to arms when facing an attack. Improving the fortifications or detaching a brigade (maybe one that is battered and in need of refit) are ways to protect it more against raider-size forces. 2. Good id...

Interesting thoughts. A reasonable number of turns to leave the country and supply rights should be an automatic part of peace treaties, though indefinitely long passage/supply rights would be a separate issue.

Brilliant, could not agree more. For annexation, it should be like that for smaller minors (1 to 3 cities), while the bigger ones like Denmark, Sweden or the USA should take a few wars to fully annex. Cannot wait to see it. Grounds for Claiming and Acquiring Objectives & Land in Peace Treaties

As a junior partner in a war, I assume the senior partner's peace disposes of everything so a separate peace is necessary to press one's own terms with one of the other belligerents, such as keeping points-generating objectives taken. Is this right? The general question is how, other than claim even...
