Yes, no problem, the games are exactly the same, only the texts will differ Thanks! Now the problem is how to do a PBEM game? I have AGEOD's Civil War game and it seems easier, that is a relative assessment. If I rename the trn file only the first 3 letters display. I hate to say it but the PBEM sy...

Compatible Versions??

First what is the most current version for both the English and French games?

Are the English and French versions compatible, meaning can an English player play against a French player?

A-ha! Good thing I'm at the end of September in my game, then. I'm getting way too excited about the idea of efficient military organization... :neener: Keep and eye peeled in the reinforcement section for armys, they are a unit. Build them ASAP and as many as you get. For some strange reason the C...

Ummm .... point of order! Just how could the Union fit so many ships into the James River?? So there's no stacking restrictions!!?? An the south built 13 ironclads!!??? OMG that is so unhistorical that I wonder about the game. :(

That's quite unfair. AGEOD has been patching (most of) its games extensively, and AACW has been patched quite regularly, even a couple years after it was out. As far as this specific bug is concerned, as it applies to ALL AGEOD games, I am pretty sure it will be patched. Being unfair has nothing to...

I really hope this is something that would get a quick fix? Im currently in my first PBEM and this bug could ruin a game in some circumstances. :bonk: I doubt AGEOD will spend the money on a patch. The SleeStak's advice is good. Two divisions must be sufficient to resist without problems. In addition, try pile up some 12lb guns for those divisions as they are the best for defense. You may also put a gatling gun. It will wreak havoc among enemy ranks... :w00t: Sound advice guy's but that's a l...

With Fort Jackson and Fort St. Phillip taken New Orleans can receive supply by sea but if there are Ironclads in the river you won’t be able to land. You may have to take Fort Pike, up to the North East of N.O. and move overland to capture the city. It is that or wade through the swamp to get there...

The best way to take forts is direct assault from the sea. Load your division onto ships, sail ships next to fort. Next round, send out troops in assault posture. The normal CSA garrison is 1 inf element, 1 fort batteries, and 1 shore batteries (3 total elements). No problem for a good division. Re...

Ironclads trump every other ship type, seemingly. If you don’t have any and the enemy dose you can forget about invading. Armored Frigates are no use against them, either. This is a game changer!! If this is true then there needs a way to skirt forts with Union ironclads, the avoid combat button is...

Yes, it's damage. But the damaged wagon's carry the same amount of supply unless it's per wagon in the unit description.

Refilling Supply Wagons?

I read somewhere in the rules or maybe it was a game tip, shown while the game is processing, that if you move supply wagons back to a large city with a depot they will refill themselves. Is that true? If so do you need to do something, click a button or what ever? I have 4 wagons in Baltimore and t...

I won't ask why you want them in the Gulf but you can get them there much easier by moving them to Chicago and down the river than clearing out all of the forts. From New York to Chicago takes about a month with good weather and about another month to month and a half, perhaps two, down to New Orle...

How can I move Ironclads to the Gulf from the Northeast without getting them beat-up by every fort they pass?? I made sure the fleet was not set to bombard, but still the forts fire on them. That seems a bit excessive. Gun's at this time had limited range and a ironclad should be able to navigate th...

Ok, I am trying to take New Orleans but my troops won't disembark. I order them to and nothing happens. I sailed up the river past the forts and 3 CSA ironclads.
