game freeze

Game turn is at Jan. 1918 and I can't go any further as the game crashes from my saved position. Unfortunately I've been using only one saved game name the whole time, so can't go back to an earlier save - bummer. During the course of gameplay still seeing a few out of place units fighting in the wr...

Check the position of GHQs, because such units may come from them... ;) As I had stated, these three German units were redeployed onto an enemy controlled province, something a human player cannot do - so if not bug/corruption is the AI cheating or are these POWs pressed into Russian service? Reaso...

Regarding random units appearing out of place - no I don't believe they are effecting gameplay as I've only noticed this happening at most in three places over the whole map at any given time. Still unsure if it has any historical basis or is simply a bug. Case in point, during a redeployment phase ...

[quote="calvinus"]Post here the savegame (.sav & .map, zipped), so I'll look inside when back from holidays. I hope no installation corrupt took place... Have started a new campaign, so unfortunetly cannot post a saved file. No crashes or lockups in this one and have made it to the start o...

Minor nations, when capitulated, give free access and supply trace to everybody. That is good to know - nothing to worry about now. :neener: I've found you can extend the game, usually by just picking up after a saved game (were it had previously ended displaying the final victory points). In my ca...

Installed patch and tried playing against AI in 4-player campaign, myself controlling AH. Have game crashes around the Oct. 1915 at the end of the military phase. Also seeing some graphic anomolies - there is a French unit mixed in with the Russians (not sure if it's just wrong graphic or is an actu...

I agree, that is one thing that is odd about this game and wish play could continue - heck it doesn't even let you look at the map when it's over. It's like the AI is brooding after it's defeat and has hid itself in the dog house - lol. Another irk is when minor countries are defeated, their stray u...

Yes, on the top line, the first space is for support (shock troops, afv or aircraft but only if you have succeeded in support arms research). The middle slot is for an infantry unit and third is artillery. You should put the rest in the 2nd line - unless you are defending a two pronged attack. After...

AI captial cities left wide open

Just finished playing a campaign game controlling both Germany and AH. For some odd reason Paris had no units at it's location for several turns and was an easy take over and as a result France capitulated following turn. A few turns later did an amphibious landing at Dover and found London was ripe...

I managed to capture only 10 French provinces in the south before they threw in the towel (nation will at -7), so no amphibious landings from them. Earlier in the game Russia did land a wack of troops in northern Germany and took Danzig. Looking at France looks like Germany had also done a landing i...

The Face of Diplomacy

Wow, diplomacy can really have a big impact in this game. For the start of the campaign game, both AI markers were set just to the right of center (as was suggested in these forums as providing the best position for historical accuracy). I controlled Austria-Hungary while the AI played Germany. I ca...

Well downloaded and installed irfanview. Tweeked the gamma just a bit, but also decreased the colour saturation. Started the game up to see the new look - whoa what a mess! Apparently the purple (magenta?) around each map segment got darker and this now shows up everywhere on the game map. I went ba...
