I haven't see anything mentioned here beyond 1.04. Yet, a few weeks back I noticed my Steam version thought it was 1.05. Didn't think much of it at the time. Guessed it may have been something related to parting ways with Paradox. At the moment though, it's auto-updating, but still no news here. Odd.

I wouldn't consider that gamey Kensai. It makes perfect sense that turncoat troops would be unreliable against their own countrymen and thus put to better use on another front. Ideally against another group against whom they have traditionally had a high degree of animosity.

I would expect it will be the same as GBR. You'll get new generals that specialize in leading troops from specific places. So far I've seen them for troops from India, Africa, Ireland and Canada.

What year is it in your game? If 1880s or earlier there may be a rule that Transvaal can't be absorbed after 1st Boer War so that scripted events for 2nd Boer War in 1899 still have a nation to apply to.

I don't think it should be just a question of if Austria built out it's RR in 6 years instead of 20 or however many. Rather, could they have done so instead of doing other things. If their economy is more or less in the ballpark in that regard, then it's a matter of the player's priorities.

I've seen coal mentioned by others, yes, and had less of other resources than I'd have liked at times as well. That's always a function of geography, and what it is varies nation to nation. FWIW, it's not just you.

I've yet to make it to the late stages of the game (HDD failure FTL) but from my early trials w/ the beta patches to the current game I've always found manufactured goods to be the bottleneck.

A few little things:
- New Zealand Constitution and Miner Rebellion decisions stay on the F1 screen without choices taking effect for months on end.
- GBR-US trade treaty and Miner Rebellion events both give messages in format evt_nam__GBR_etc but display fine in F1 screen.
