I see that if you click on a product you can change trade demand/offer by 10 units... but I had the impression you can also change it by less, by 1 unit, but I'm not sure how... or am I wrong?

Lots of aspects of that neay game are obscurer to me I was playing as Japan and after declaring war to Korea I tried to disembark on Pusan's coast... just not possible because apprently "not enough military influence" or something like that... Please explain why I just can't disembark and invade...
