I could not get past the abstract nature of the economic system. I think the economic system is Vicky 2's greatest strength. It's a beautiful engine. That said, it wouldn't work for PON, and PON's economic system is both strategic and fun, and still very deep. In every other aspect, PON has richer ...

Can't wait to hear what they are/will be working on after PoN.
PoN expansions, or a whole new project? Hmmm.

Not as cheap as it once had been, with 9~10 euro during summer sale. ;)

By the way, do you check this forum more often than the paradox one? I'm considering posting bugs and stuff here instead, because I see you guys posting here somewhat more frequently.

You're talking about two different things. 1) The game is being patched, to add content and fix bugs. Currently, the game is version 1.1 and patch 1.2 is being developed. You can download beta patches for 1.2, the most recent is 1.1h. This adds a lot to the game and is recommended. You can find it a...

Yes, the diplomatic system could really use some work, as well as the peace mechanics. I guess it can be improved somewhat with patches, but I think to do it truly justice it needs a bigger overhaul.

I'll be buying any DLC in any case. More playable nations added in patches, more scenarios as DLC. It's fine division.

And it's my hope that all that financial support might lead to an actual full-fledged expansion. :D

Now I'm starting to feel less ethical than everyone else because of my choice of vendors. I feel just awful now. Do AGEOD and Paradox get any of the money from sales on Steam, so does Steam just swallow the money whole? That's the only thing I can think of that would make me feel even worse. Both S...

Factory listing included in the ledger would indeed be far superior. I like your idea. It could even be a ledger on its own (or sub-ledger), in order to maintain the overview 'balance sheet' function of the current F4 ledger.

I know I could live with static harbors, flags, etc., for the sake of increased performance. One thing that annoys me is the flicker on the lamp lighting the Pride of Nations logo in the upper left. Is it supposed to flicker or is this a glitch? It's supposed to. I found it a nice detail, though.

I'd fine to pay for a 1880 GC DLC. Feel like I underpaid for PoN anyway. ;)

Any changes of future pre-1850 GC's? 1815 or even 18th century start dates could be awesome.

Making more playable nations would involve mostly the elements of events, historical portraits and unit pictures. Sounds ideal for DLC, since this ensures no DLC will depend on another.

I'd find it more exciting then scenarios, for sure.

John Sedgwick, I like your list. The only possible change I could imagine is doing neither Siam nor Argentina, but Persia instead as number 10. It would allow for a modernization effort and 'expel foreign barbarians' like Siam, but it wouldn't interfere with Indo-Chinese colonization efforts.

I have already made events for HOL, BEL, TUR, SPA and POR...some are not yet active in the game because the nations are not playable, but they do have effects. The Belgian and Turkish events are fully operational (in 1.01C beta patch version) Very nice to hear how much is still being added!

I don't mind DLC if they're mini-expansions. The rampant 'more skins' DLC for a myriad games is exactly the opposite. Scenario's provide actual re-playability of PoN, and I can therefore live with them. I just hope it won't cut into the potential for actual expansions/
