am playing the mod with the official patch and some things seem off (playing an august 1805 game): - There are no military modifiers, the F3 ledger is always empty. - In January 1806 no new generals anywhere for France ?
Both Scenarios will be fine. I made the AI events specific to PRIOR to pressburg. After pressburg, I'll add AI events for Prussia, Russia, Austria and possibly Britain prior to Tilsit. After Tilsit, Spain. After Spain, everyone against France. But this is first generation on AI so I'm starting with...
I think a better solution to this would be to simply give controlling nations the option to build expeditionary forces in their production lists when they gain control of a minor (different units made available based on whether they are allied or vassals) and make the forces very cheap to produce. ...
I have noticed that countries like Hessen and others where as the French I can build depots act like this is "occupation of such and such province" which gives them a CB. Might be an engine issue, but figured I should point it out.
regarding the AI, force organisation is always a weakness, when the game isn't complicated in that regard (WIA for example) it's easier for it. Ageod should have developped cheat codes for the AI to better organise its troops (lock them together, teletransport a few times a year, etc). Re WON.... Th...
could it be that the check for unit building comes to often for the AI and, particularly for minors, means that the slowest accumulating variable, ie Conscripts, becomes the hurdle making infantry the least built unit by accumulation process ? Say Nassau (I am making numbers up here) receives 100 go...
1/ So I am playing as the french and use basically 90% of my diplomats endlessly pestering my allies for expeditionnary forces. I keep maxing out the state visits and commercial arrangements, but keep getting rejected by my allies. In the last game turn 100, 2 exceptions : - Bavaria usually sends yo...
How much work would it be to make the AI count elements and their types it uses in the main army stacks? Stack building starts by choosing the leaders, then sticking elements under them based on the rules that decide battles. Make the AI ignore CP rules before military reforms happen and order as b...
I think with a combination of AI improvements and scripts the game can be fun to play solitaire. Scripts are time consuming to do but would be the best way to make the AI functional. A game like WITP AE proved very fun to me with the good scripts written by the devs. The problem here is that force ...
Are they linked to the foreign recruitment national modifier? France should get that from the start or make the elements French in game terms. Nah, when you get that modifier it doesn't fill them out. there might be a label issue, ie maybe they are labelled as a foreign unit, but with french elemen...
Oh by the way, one little thing left, it would be really nice if those italian dragoons and Polish lancer units we get at the beginning of the game in Italy could refill at some point, it's frustrating to see them incomplete.
Maybe it's tied to some percentage of the force it can give? Nassau essentially deploys one brigade and until 1809 it normally only builds another brigade and some artillery. Baden does go on a shopping spree and in two years or so buys several brigades and lots of artillery. Wurtemburg tends to ha...
That's not the first time I got these reports and I have already checked what can go wrong. So far, I have found nothing and that's the same code that tests if they can give troops and that gives troops, so this is rather weird... Will again check for the third patch. It's strange because on the sa...
Thanks for the speedy reply. I haven't received a message like you've described yet, but I'll keep my eyes open. Did you get the message the turn after you concluded the expeditionary forces treaty, or was it a few turns later? Thanks in advance. It rings a bell, I got a message saying that Nassau ...
I too have been lent troops by Württemberg, but I've tried selecting and moving all of their forces, but to no avail. How are they differentiated from their countrymen? you get a message in the "troop message" dialogue box (the one with the soldiers symbol after the movement one) that says "Wurtemb...
Hurray !! for the first time ever, after probably 600 to 700 turns of play, a country outside of Bavaria lent me some forces !!! Both Baden and Wurtemberg sent me expeditionnary forces in march 1807 that I can intregrate in my forces. The Baden force is just 2 regiments (6 elements) but the Wurttemb...
Actually I think that the Saxon event should be changed a bit. Saxony essentially switched sides and became a French satellite. However, in the game, it remains allied with Prussia, declaring war in tandem with Prussia, whenever the latter decides to. Also there is a need that powers like Prussia a...
Really I wonder what the Devs are doing about this game now. I bought it when it came out, almost 5 months ago, and there are still egregious issues of LOGIC in how it works. It's really uber frustrating, I want to love this game so much but god what a mess.
another very annoying thing : sudden white peace.. Am in end of january 1807, at war with Prussia (they attacked Bavaria, so I had to....) and Austria (they attacked me again so bugger it, going for them) and so with Saxony as well. Mind you it's now deep winter so I am staying tight in cities and s...
The thing about passing through neutrals could be circumnavigated (and maybe the strange supply system) via the Diplomacy screen and requesting troop access rights, the more I think about it. Perhaps, as with you and Austria and myself and Prussia we need to ask for access rights via diplomacy. But...
There are still some loose ends that could be tied together, I just figured I'd point some that I have seen up to now in my latest game started under the April 11th patch (btw thanks for the big data improvement for troop names, it's awesome !) : - As the french The Neuchatel regiments can now be re...
I am giving up my 'base' game and going back to your mod. Tomorrow. Cannot deal with supply issues and loosing another year due to starvation. Plus the battles lasted longer, and more realistic. Yep I might try it tonight.... getting fed up with having to time peace treaties like they are the start...
When you get a supply treaty, you don't get to actually move your supply through their territory, instead they will provide their (sometime meager) supply to you. If you are allied otoh, it's possible to move your own supply into their territory, but you must have nearby units or a depot in a non-c...
No. they probably won't. As the game is, supplies aren't flowing through either of these countries. Warsaw can't support that size army. You'll have to move some back asap. There needs to be some sort of vassal status after some peace that treat the country as one's in terms of supply network and p...
Play with easy supply on or just don't sign peace, supply just doesn't work because the general mechanism, a very good one I must say, was built for a 2 sides game (aacw). It just can't deal with the allies, neutral, enemy territory variety plus de mess that peace treaties create. It's bored.
Once 'peace' is declared, France no longer draws supply from a now neutral nation, staying in a neutral nations provides a DOW. So win the war and get out of the no longer enemy nation which allow supply in controlled regions, neutral nations do not allow supply. It is important that the treaty be ...
I mean really as it stands regarding supply this game is only playable either in a permanent state of war or with easy supply on, otherwise except if you play at a 18th century snail pace building depots everywhere and even then you don't know what a freaking peace could do to mess it all up, there ...

Why did Austria DOW you after Pressburg?? I never had that happen, although Prussia did declare war on me quite soon after...winter 1805/06. Perhaps you stayed too long in Austrian territory - if you do the Pressburg thing via the decree you only have to pull back over their border, Regensburg/Muni...
