Oh ok I started the blockade of Galveston before McDowell arrived there. He was In the process of retreating from upper Texas unupplied and no cohesion. I guess once he moved into Galveston with his guns it increased the amount of ships needed for a blockade. You would think that a badly beaten army...

It said four now Its saying I need 8 ships now though. Here is a screeshot anyway but I guess he recieved supply fron the fluctuating blockade...

Supply question

McDowell was stuck in Galveston with about 30k men and out of supply. I had a division of of about 6k besieging him, and in the bay the port was blockaded by 5 ships which said I only needed 4 for a blockade. I made sure I was in the right bay too. I had 6k men in Ft James which I believe lessened t...

I agree I'm a big stat man. I think the post battle screen is a little anticlimactic. I used to play an old dos game "Gettysburg the turning point" by SSI. The stats were pretty realistic and seemed to immerse you more into the outcome.. Killed, MIA, wounded, cannons captured/detroyed and calvary lo...

Ctrl Key to display Men.

I presss the ctrl key to see how many men are in my army as it was in aacw, but nothing happens so I searched the manual and from what I gather in the manual nothinghas changed. Is this a bug for everyone or just me? I've looked and haven't come across anyone else asking about it.

Replacements

When starting a fresh campaign before you can recruit units you can add replacements. Does adding replacements early help your newly recruited units say in the following turns when recruitment becomes and option. Basically does it fill new units more quickly. Also I have been fooling around with the...

Still learing. Arty question

Ok so here's another one for you guys. I read in the manual that an entrenched battery along a river will bombard enemy fleets and stop enemy supply. However in a recent AI game I took Fort Monroe trapping a union fleet up by Richmond that I guess didn't want to run pass the fort so just stayed ther...

One more Question

How do you scout out an Army? I thought you just needed to be next to the opposing army and have a greater detect value than their hide value. Do I need to run some Calvary through their position to thoroughly scout their them? Oh yeah and i'm glad forums finally back up been waiting to ask this si...

Thanks I found it in the update file. I have one more question about a situation I found quite frustrating in my last game. The Union had Butler and an army of about 20k besieging Fredricksburg. I moved an army of about 50k to meet him i had 2 separate battles 2 turns in a row then nothing for at le...

Entrenchment Levels

Hi I've searched and can't seem to find an answer to this question. I recently updated to patch 1.15 and now playing as CSA. I find that my entrenchment levels don't go any higher than level 4 even in costal forts. I have do have infantry and artillery as well.
