There really is not a difference. However, if you select 'Do not pay' then you reenable the event to be available in future turns.

When do the crashes happen:
Right away as the game opens?
When you move certain units?
As you save?
Some other time or behavior?
This will help find the cause. The most common cause for crashes is not running the game as an administrator.

My suggestion, turn off auto-replacements. These are eating up your budget. Once you turn this off you will have much more control over your purchases.

Guys, this is fascinating. I mostly play pbem, but I think you adventures offer an insight into how this could be done in a three player game. Taking Africa is a real challenge for the Western Entente, so maybe not conquering Africa as the Central Powers, but holding them though the war is plausible.

You have selected a challenging task, but it is doable. The Eastern White, Komush, do have a strong navy which can be used. Taking Tsarisyn is a big challenge. Block any reinforcement routes. You've got it. The Backup1 is your previous turn.
1 HST and 1 ORD are your current turn.

So if you want to backup, just use the in game option to backup. You are set.

Ah ha, I think I know the reason for the problem of not capturing a region in which all the opposing forces are eliminated. In this game there are no regulars. Regions only change loyalty if a regular is present. In this game, only the British have regular units.

My guess is it is not really a bug, it is the consequence of the penalties of a naval landing. Penalties are severe.
I know you cannot do the same battle as a land attack, but your different circumstances in your second illustration shows a bit of the why.

I am not sure about from within the game, but you can always use the create shortcut option for where folders are displayed. I use this to place all current games on the desktop.
So you could use it to place it in 'My Game' or wherever else it is convenient for you.
