Due to lack of time I have barely been able to scratch the surface on this game, yet, I can see huge potential here. My guess is when the bugs are squashed and issues ironed out, this game could truly be a PBEM classic. And I am hoping for some shorter sub-campaigns like Spain or Russia or 1813-1814...

In terms of retreats, no amount of polling through forums is going to convince me it's working correctly. Look at the battle below. Mack is still in Stuttgart. Why didn't Mack go to Ulm (and possibly get booted out of there by Soult). Though he "retreated", he remained in Stuttgart for some reason ...

I had to combine 70% or so of my entire army to make one 600 power stack. Still have 95 hits on my infantry and no replacements. Woe is Spain. Wish I could just hire foreigners for my army, I have like 4000 space bucks in the bank and nothing to spend it on. Sad really. Maybe not such a great army ...

I don't have a database or game files in front of me but I believe the models folder in game data contains individual model files. At the end of each model file is a list of names which are attached to models/elements as they...

EDIT: There's 3700 events in total. I've experimented with bringing in by year only those events that are relevant. So events trigger in 1809 aren't needed in 1805. 2100 is the total in 1805. Yes, I would think batching events by timeframe would improve processing speed. Also if I remember correctl...

Anarchist battalions upgrade to regulars?

I checked the database and anarchist militia battalions are suppose to upgrade to regular anarchist battalions with a percentage chance. However I haven't actually seen it happen in game. Maybe I just haven't played far enough as the republicans or maybe missed it but has anyone else noticed whether...

I just doublechecked and I discovered two mistakes on my part. First, the time is Mid-Feb 1937, not 38. Second, I counted all my existing divisions and I have only created 5 divisions, not 6. So I can still create one more division to reach 6 divisions and then, it sounds like I can't make any more ...

Creating divisions

I am playing the nationalists in a PBEM. A month or two back, I was notified I had the option to create 6 divisions. So I created 6 divisions using my best divisional commanders. In this latest turn in Mid-Febuary 1938, I noticed I can build divisions again. However I didn't receive a notification. ...

Map of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland

Has anyone done a map of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland? If not, I would like to give it a shot. Thanks, Pocus, I will reduce model VP values. In this scenario, the Poles/Whites dominate for about a 2 month timeframe and can inflict substantial Red subunit losses. VPs for model subunits generally vary between 3-5 VPs. This type of situation produced about a 60NM difference between the sides in ...

Reducing impact of combat unit losses on national morale?

I have been testing my Polish mod and discovered that combat subunit losses are having an outsized impact on National Morale. So I would like to reduce the change in NM from combat subunit losses. What factors are used to determine the impact on NM when a unit is lost? VPs? Is there a formula out th...

Ok, I think I figured out what is going on. Eger is in the supply chain but only received 1160 supply points a turn. Which wasn't enough supply for the two corps and supply stocks were dropping. In ROP, I believe supply is done twice a turn to a distance of 30 days. I strongly suspect that the 30 da...

Thanks Durk for the explanation. It looks like the best way to shift an enemy army out of their position is to park my army on their supply line. Supply

Ok, I am looking at supply and want to make sure I have got it right. It appears that towns are producing supply units at a rate of 8 per city level, 4 per depot or harbor and 2 per fortification. However unlike most Ageod games, a supply unit appears to only produce 1 supply point instead of 5 supp...

Marching speeds, Prague, fortifications and 2nd Silesian War

I was reading Christopher Duffy's book on Fredericks Army. He stated that the normal march for the Prussian army averaged 6 miles a day with 1 out of 3 or 4 days as a day of rest. In a force march situation, they might cover 12 miles a day for a week or maybe 2 weeks. Duffy's book is pretty old so I...
