I also get a queezy stomach when I hear DLC but considering the intial price of the game I can get over it. I have enough self-control to avoid buying any DLC that I am not interested in; which will likely be most of them. My main interest is the Grand Campaign anyway since I really don't think that...

I also toss boxes away as soon as I remove the disk and I can easily burn a copy of the disk, but what I miss the most from a physical product is the printed manual. I love reading manuals and hate reading on the computer. I have gone to a printer and had them print the manual for a game from the di...

I also think that many people are waiting and hoping that a physical copy is released. That is the case with me but if no physical copy is released I will get a digital copy, though many people simply refuse to download games for any reason.

I believe it was simply a depot during the SYW. It was probably lightly fortified but more like a fortified camp than a true fortress.

Your basic smoothbore musket was the predominate weapon. Some specialized units such as Jagers and Grenzers used rifled muskets.

By Force of Arms by Christopher Duffy is an excellent book on the SYW.

I was not comparing these men, only the fact that from a distance they are easier to admire than many of their contemporaries found them. There is much to admire in all of these men but also many flaws that are usually downplayed from our secure moment in time. To your other point, I have absolutely...

I am very sure that it is much easier to "admire" Frederick and things Prussian from a very great distance distance of time. Same with Alexander, Caesar, and Napoleon. Hell, we got all bent out of shape over a few minor taxes. :cursing:

The only ones i know of are national socialist junk. Someone contact hollywood this is a whole empty genre, then again im quite certain we'd end up with F red the romantic comedy of a great emperor . :bonk: No doubt about that. I am sure that they would also highlight the homosexual angle as well. ...

No competition at all. I beta tested and own H&M and it is a really nice game but it is strictly a tactical game. RoP is very similar to the previous AGEOD games with some nice enhancements and will cover the entire SYW at a strategic/operational level. Get them both!

I really don't like monster games and the endless counter pushing involved. I also don't care much for any wargame that goes beyond 1870. Give me brightly clothed men marching in lines any time. But I feel compelled to get this game and I think I will actually enjoy it. There is just something haunt...
