Multiple orders

Is it possible to have a fleet sail to a zone, pick up some tropps and sail to another zone in one turn? I had a situation where it took a fleet 5 days to sail to where I wanted to pick up some troops, but then I had to wait till next turn to sail to where I wanted to drop them off, which was close ...

A Few Acres of Snow is a tough game for both sides. Thoroughly delightful, though. Well, its certainly tough for me, especially at sea. I can't seem to sortie a fleet without having it take massive hits due to attrition without it ever seeing the enemy. The northern waters around Louisbourg seem to...

Enngland the mismanaged juggernaut

I'm liking the "A Few Acres of Snow campaign, though I apparently am a deceidely inferior general. I can't even win as the Brits.

Tell us how you are trying to retrieve earlier turns. Are you using the load game interface or are you out of the game in the saves folder? Did you change from playing AI to playing in a different format? A bit of detail would help, especially if you used to find multiple saves. It used to be if I ...

Hi moloko, 2. Typically, you will have a collection of all your previous turns in your saves file under this games folder. Look there; computer/local disk C/Program Files (86)/Wars in America/WIA/Saves/Your game Hmmm, there used to be multiple saves, 10 turns worth or so but for some reason I now h...

Some things I couldn't find in the manual

A couple of things are still puzzling me.... 1. What exactly does the color (green, orange or red) of the bullets on the TDM indicate? I know the number of bullets indicates force size, but I'm not clear of the significance of the color, is it related to supply, cohesion, losses...all of the above? ...

The only thing I've seen is it will tell you so and so unit took so many hits due to bad weather. It would be good if the game told you more, like how many men were lost marching, or just more attrition info in general.

To all my fellow grognards out there who cut their teeth on SPI and Avalon Hill boardgames, this is our dream come true. It's funny because playing Napoleon's Campaigns prompted me to drag out my old board games. So now I'm playing the 1809 Danube scenario on the PC and I set up Victory Games 1809 ...

I was wondering about that too. The replacements are parcelled out by the system, but I'm not sure how it proiritizes who gets them....probably influenced by leaders and proximity to depot perhaps?

At any rate, I wish i could pick where my replacements go.
