Is it WAD that in 3rd Samnite War scenario the Samnite main avaliable infantry is a light one (at least according to description)? Every other Italic nation has their own heavy/line infantry from what I can see.
Lame question probably, but I just can't figure how to disband any unit. No matter what I do, I never see a disband order acitvated. Is this feature in game at all? According to the manual, it should be possible at any time as I understand.
BTW, can it be WAD that after taking Rome with Vitellians I got victory screen and then remaining Othonian forces joined my side including Otho - still alive - himself ? They still have green backgrounds in TDMs, but I can issue them orders. Anyone? I'm a bit afraid this may cause CTD or some bugs ...

They added that, but left in a way to assault multiple structures. Red/red assault is supposed to assault multiple structures. Red/orange and below is supposed to just assault at the end. This was done to help the AI not accidentally assault structures in between since they don't use red/red. Sound...
I won as Vitellius without any major engagement besides taking Vindonissa camp. Caecina crossed the Alps, bypassed more or less garrisoned cities and marched straight to Rome and seized it. Bum! - Othonians are gone, I win. I mean it's all OK regarding historical plausibility in case of Vitellius vs...
Yeah, it's much needed in a future patch. Too much confusion now. I.e. playing as Vitellius you have - besides legions - Gallic/Briton/German auxilia cohorts & alas which have normal speed & CP costs. At the same time you have many Germanic mercenaries, which crawl like turtles outside Germania and ...
Thanks. But it's not a problem of general logic behind this, rather of the size of "time gap". I.e. now I'm trying to move Vitelius (slow drunkard anyway) with only Germanic auxilia form Vindonissa to Argentarum - just 2 provinces anway - and it shows arrival time of 80 days! It's insane (middle of ...
I have noted regional decisions that affect loyalty. Indeed, but they're EP costly and it would be illogical to spend so many EPs (impossible anyway) on every unimportant region within a province (unfortunately, important in an aspect of producing supplies on which loyalty IIRC has an impact). It's...
In case of trade ships every turn in a message log we're informed how much did they bring into coffers this time. I never saw such info about my merchants sent to different regions. How to check if they are working and adding this 5000 denaries every turn?
Another question, maybe lame, but I don't quite get how you win loyalty in conquered regions. I had an impression that seizing military control or individual regions, even more securing province's capital ect. should result in gradual rise of loyalty. Afterall, we're talking here about civil wars wh...
On this potential supplying besieged city by sea - if you load wagons on ships how can you in fact deliver them to the besieged garrison? The harbor is not the city. If you sail into harbor and unload them even with wagons on "go inside structure" order, won't they be captured or destroyed by besieg...
Maybe I'm missing something, but... In "Year of 4 emperors" I have in spring 2 large stacks under Valens & Caecina trying to cross the Alps to Galia Cisalpina through 2 different mountain passes. If I keep in these stacks Germanic mercenaries (some of heavy infantry, cavalry and archers from a start...
What are the best places to install merchants anyway? Does it have any meaning at all? Toolip says merchant will bring 5000 denaries, so it doesn't matter where he is? (in Alexandria, Carthage, Syracuse ect. - cities with big commerce ports or trading centers or in the middle of nowhere in Galia's f...
Forgive a lame question, but I'm somehow confused. I bought pre-order base version (without DVD) and installed it. What have I bought actually? Full game but with most options switched off until 19th Sep.? Some kind of beta/demo? What will I need to play the full campaign? Will there be a patch on W...
I think you don't talk about loyalty: For you Military control should be much faster. Why would you want paesants being active with a red/white rifle aiming at them?? Passivity was their main defense, that was their main 'activity' against Red or White invaders. Peasants where active when they coul...
Of course, I use ledger :) The problem for me playing WHI is I can't see practicaly no action I could take to raise loyalty quicker. All I can do for now are requisitions, conscription ect. - having exactly opposite effect on loyalty. Anyway, just asking for advise. Do you leave many troops behind a...
Thank you all for help. Just one more, general and strategic issue. I'm playing my first GC as WHI now. All goes OK, Red Ukrainian Front is crushed, I'm moving towards Tsaritsyn. But... Having read about loyalty affecting many things (i.e. supply system efficiency) I wonder how can you actually rais...
I got CTD in the very first turn of GC when I tried to put Kornilov Division into Volunteer Army. Below is an end part of main log. Can you tell me what could caused it? 06:00:46 TGroup.CanBuildStruc Exception caught: Indice de liste hors limites (0) Step: 6 1001411 Kornilov Division 06:00:46 TGroup...
Another noobie question. Having read about chain of command I thought I got it, but apparently not. Starting GC as Southern Whites I got several already composed divisions (kornilovtsy, drozdovtsy, markovtsy ect.). But their commanders are not divisional commanders (I have an option to enable them t...
Can you tell me who is Polish general I. Boleslaw in RuS? He has a picture of Józef Piłsudski from legionary times... and his name is actually a surname. I can't find anything about such commander and I strongly doubt he ever existed. Considering he has a photo of Piłsudski, maybe you've m...
I'd like to ask for Iona Yakir as a leader. For now he's not among Red generals though IRL he was an important one, raising to the rank of kommandarm (also one of most decorated bolshevik commanders of civil war).
Yakir is indeed not in the game. The wiki article is a bit dubious (low on quotations high on praise). Nevertheless, it seems the man should be in the game. I would recommend you post in the help improve forum or perhaps even the current patch thread and ask the developpers to add him to the game. ...
BTW, maybe I'm blind, but I can't find I.Yakir among Red commanders. It's not a matter of lack of portrait, there is no leader file for him at all. Very strange considering he was quite important figure in early '20 and later and that there are many much less suitable leaders already in game. It's a...
Hmm, after the recent patch my map scrolling became also super fast - to the point of making it diffcult to play. I also started several scenarios with FoW turned off to check AI - it does nothing (I mean nothing, no movement at all).
Actually, what is the difference between a "redoubt" and "fortified line"? According to my files, one needs 8/6 artillery to supply ratio and the second one 10/8.
I'd be happy to work on Polish generals. Could you help me with pointing out all files that have to be changed? Done a lot of graphical modding for PI games, but folders/files structure in AGE games is less obvious. Does anyone have templates for generals' pictures?
