I don't see what the point would be of importing preserved food for canning. If you wanted mfg goods wouldn't building a mfg goods factory be the best way to go?

One of the more ridiculous things I have seen in all my years hanging around forums.

Guess gray got his point across but the end certainly does not justify the means.

Yes I was annoyed at first, but mostly I didn't understand and was wrecking railroads in friendly areas! LMAO. Interesting tactic you have there. Perhaps you could use it as a political stunt of some sort. "Hey, we might not be winning but at least they arn't tearing our tracks up anymore" :mdr: It...

Sounds like a fun game :)

Think i will be more defensive like you were for my next game as it seems to provide more of a challenge for the CSA.

Yep, I try hold out to the first winter before getting any of the more expensive items. By then you should have a handle on what you need and theres usualy not much fighting in the winter or even a couple of turns later due to the muddy roads.

Love the name btw :)

I went with Romeyn B. Ayres. The photo from the side doesn't do his man hair glory but i do like the snarl. As someone who has struggled to grow a beard for many years i know how hard it is and I think he managed to pull off the rugged but still sophisticated look very well indeed.

I like to form my divisions out of six line infantry, one sharpshooter unit, two cavalry, one light cannon and one heavy cannon. Sometimes more cannon and less cavalry depending on what the army will be doing. This makes it a little easier to get everything organised at the start and you can build o...

I agree the AI is more like an annoyance that a real threat right now. I capture Washington just after the first winter most games. The best way I have heard is to allow the Union to build her forces up until 1863. I don't much like the idea of playing passivly but i might try it next time. Other th...

It's early 1862 and I have both of my Virginia armies besieging Washington, the AI is stuck with a pretty difficult decision but i doubt there is much they can do to rectify the situation. Idealy they should have never let me in to start with. I can see why players would not have taken Washington to...

I am playing the grand campaign with kentucky on 1.164a with the recomended settings. I am currently at the begining of the first winter. The game has been progressing well with the AI giving me a lot more trouble in Missouri and Texas than previouly, they were spawning a lot of raiders into Texas a...
