Yeah, I actually don't recall reading about any large Roman invasion forces being wiped out in storms; if the weather looked bad presumably they just wouldn't leave port or if at sea, would do everything possible to avoid the storm rather than just sailing right into it...

It crashed as soon as I clicked on the exe to install the patch. I haven't had much of a chance to play the patched game yet.

I've tried both those options, hopefully it will work. I think the point is that the damage from storms seems rather excessive--I've had large fleets completely disappear--surely some of the ships would survive, or better, ships should have the sense to move into a port or harbor if they see a storm approaching?

I am hoping to avoid a refund, I'd like to like this game. That said, I have many games, including lots of very large games, and this is the only one that I have a stability problem with, and the problem is rather severe. Very frustrating...
