.. and no other company is supporting and patching its games as long as AGEOD. The trend is that companies release 1.5 version of a game as a "completely new and never before seen" along with 10+ payable DLCs. All of which is good but doesnt explain a hefty price tag. Black Ops may be perfect out o...

Maybe this is why I have only bought a couple of full price games this year (Batman and Civ 5) the rest have been sale items or via Ebay/Amazon at reduced prices. I refused to buy Silent Hunter 5 because of the constant online activation required (bloody ridiculous) and have kept away from Rise of F...

Feel free to buy from wherever you like. AGEod's pricing policy has always been this way. Like all software companies, when they sell in bulk to after market retailers, they don't control what those same retailers charge. Some direct download buyers have no problem at all paying a higher price on p...

Downloads are far too expensive!

When I can buy ACW as a hard copy via Ebay for £7 why would I want to pay £10 or more for a download edition without a manual? And there is no way I am buying a download version of RUS at £35. Thats more expensive than any other PC game other than COD Black Ops. Seriously you need to re-address your...

Just bought it based on the demo gameplay - very impressed with the game. Shows what a good game it actually is as I am not that interested in American history generally but this game is too good to not play. Actually the one I would be most intersted in playing would be Napoleon but as it doesnt ha...

I havent bought any Ageod games yet but have the demos and am leaning towards either ACW or RUS as I like both the periods. But ACW is cheap whilst RUS is pretty expensive actually although RUS is probably more advanced and I could play the underdogs slightly easier (conscience wise) in RUS than in ...

Oops yet another post that covers something Ive just said myself. Oh well Ill have to check previous posts before I comment from now on. Agree with all of the above by the way I much prefer the hand drawn style that alone sets the previous games well apart from other bog standard strategy games. Cer...

Exactly what I think - PoN os a rubbish name, Vain Glory Of Nations was a brilliant name and was what made me look at the game in the first instance. Revolution under Siege is a great name as well. You need names like that to stand out amongst the millions of strategy games that come out these days....

Personally I much prefer the original title 'Vain Glory of Nations'. Pride of Nations isnt half as punchy and is very similar to most other strategy titles that seem to come out. But anyway I dont think I will be buying this game as I dont like the look of the computerised screens compared to the mo...

Hmm I actually dont like these. Theyt seem to be very simialr to the style of Napoleons Campaigns and I didnt like the look of that game either. I much prefer the painterly look of your games like the last Russian Revolution one and ACW. These screens are too computerised. IMO the painterly look and...

Only game Ive ever played PBEM was Stars! which was a great game. Played a few games over the internet like Rome Total War and some first person shooters but I dont tend to play long games on the internet and I dont like waiting for email games unless there is a lot to do per turn like there was in ...

Digital download is the only way to go. The cost of boxes is just too much for a small company like AGEOD. I can print out the manual myself and burn the game onto a DVD thus saving them money that can be used for making more cool games :) I disagree completely. I still like to have a disk and a ma...

Hi - I've had major problems installing this game since I bought it last week. Now on my 7th install. I have Windows 7, and installed it in non-program files directory. What happens is that I install, enter serial key, and then the game opens correctly. When I close the game and attempt to reopen i...

It might be too much but I can certainly imagine that AGEODs version would be superior to HOI III. That wouldnt be difficult. Beating HOI2 though that would be the true test of a great WW2 game as HOI2 must surely rank as the best WW2 grand strategy game of all time. But yes I would be interested t...

Well I voted for Napoleon becuase I am about to buy my first Ageod game and it was a toss up between Napoleon and the American Civil War but then I found out that Napoleon has some bugs and doesnt have a grand campaign and that pretty much decided it for me. Although I also dont quite like the look ...
