I have been waiting to play this game now since what seems to be the beginning of time itself and getting on in life it seems that I will never ever live to see a working patch released.
Is the patch on target for 1st half of this month? I stopped playing the game until the arrival of the patch and there is a limit to how many times I can raze Washington down to the ground in AACW whilst waiting.
I came to AGEOD because I loved Scourge of War which is brilliant and joined an online league but work made me realise I did not have time to commit to the team and resigned my brigade. I still play SOW when I am not playing AGEOD. As a result of playing SOW I met guys who told me about AACW and I w...
You are very welcome here. I myself am fairly new and am just so glad I persevered with what at the time seemed a big learning curve. Now it all seems so obvious.
AACW is a great game and I believe that RUS will be even better if that is at all possible.

Thank you for keeping us informed. Looking forward to the patch.
You will also find later down the road that as the Confederacy you are limited to 30 divisions whilst the Federals are allowed 60. I did try editing a couple of files and restarted the full campaign with KT but I still only had 30 which kind of disappointed my orderly mind but thanks to reading in t...
I also switch between RUS and AACW and think that both of them are brilliant and bought both after trying the demos. I do hope there will be a detailed Wiki site one day for RUS similar to the one for AACW. I can honestly recommend RUS to anyone who has played AAACW. I do not know about WW1 and have...
Jim: Do you think RUS is worth purchasing? I rely on your judgement. t Yes, I would recommend you buy it 100% I live in a remote part of Wales and use a laptop with a data dongle and it took me ages to download and several attempts but it was well worth it. I am torn at times whether to play AACW o...
Good Luck guys, I have now completed three full campaigns(two as the Confederacy) although without the AI maxed out and it was still touch and go. Learning supply is a must, especially during the winter season. Now I really know what they mean when they wrote about the importance of troops being in ...
Currently playing AACW and have finally got to grips with it and went off and bought WW1 and RUS for a change of scenery. I have installed RUS (Not WW1 yet) and am wondering perhaps if I should have waited until a few more patches have been released as I had CTD in one of the scenarios. So with time...
A couple of months ago, I had the good fortune to come across a copy of ACW for sale. I found the learning curve steep but persevered and I would say to all people new to the AGEOD game engine, "Don't give up, the rewards are well worth the effort." Anyhow long story short. I saw RUS was out, downlo...
Finally my first 1861 w/t full campaign Victory as the CSA in October 1864 but a damn close run thing. Also I had disabled the give AI more time to think option. I shall replay with those options on. I am sure it will be a much tougher game. AI, did launch several seaborne invasions with some succes...
I can see that this game is like a game of chess. You just cannot play it unless you are mentally prepared and have time to study the board. I took the advice of starting the full campaign in 1861 w/Kentucky always as the Confederacy and have gotten to December 1861 five times and then restarted as ...
Finally got around to buying this game and have updated to Patch 1.5 and have completed the two tutorials and have been replaying the Bull Run and Shiloh scenarios to get the feel of the game and observe the results of Command and Supply. Can you please advice which scenario I should go to next and ...
