I run 1.15 on Vista without compatibility mode for XP (or anythinge else) and it has worked flawlessly without any tweaks whatsoever. I did, however, install the game in a non-default location which I always do with my games. I have read others having had problems, but I don't know why they had them...

You won't be able to move anywhere in the river system if there are frozen patches in between that they can't traverse. That might be why you weren't able to move them out. But other than in those cases you will always be able to move river ships from Chicago to where you need them.

Will all cavalry be able to take cities after the late cavalries first appear, or only the actual late cavalry units? And will both sides gain this ability at the exact same time, or only when they themselves gain access to late cavalry (unless this of course is simultaneous anyway).

in France at least Major is under Lieutenant. Is it not the case in others countries? Yes this is a (mostly) cosmetic novelty. As for earning promotion while retreating, this is WAD. If the officer really performed well during the battle, he can still be congratulated, whatever the final outcome. 1...

I've often seen moderators move OT posts about a subject into a new thread. Straight out deleting them however... Oh well. All I did was express support for your current work on the beta and patching system. Terribly sorry about that!

I have read many AAR's and have realised that my natural aggression and unwillingness to give ground is not going to help me in this simulation. I haven't played CSA myself, but from what I understand from others it is better to play defensively, advance slowly, and only attack where enemy is reall...

Is there a more detailed writeup of the changes in SVF (compared to vanilla AACW) somewhere that I can read? You've made me quite curious about it.

I strongly recommend the full campaign w/Kentucky. Its the only tutorial to learn the full aspect of the game, and the way to do it is to just do it. Sure, you'll make mistakes, but thats how to best learn anything. Also, pretty much every possible situation and aspect of the game is covered (asked ...

I would like to see a game about the Swedish Empire era, simply because I've never seen such a wargame while, for this period, Sweden was one of the greatest powers in Europe. My forum permissions

Not sure where else to post this, posting here in lack of better place. I seem to lack all forum permissions beyond reading and posting. I am locked out of all options under User CP so I can't set profile or anything under there. Nor do I have a PM folder. In fact, I don't even have the ability to s...

Some forum necromancy on my part... Do the fixed units in Washington DC count, or do I need units beyond those? Do generals count as units in this or any other situation? Do support units count towards this goal (Supply wagons, balloons, engineers etc)? Can they all be in the same stack or do they n...

Welcome to the AGEod forums. :) We have no plans to alter any of the game description/background statements. All AGE based games are subject to new changes being made to them all the time even after they have been officially offered up for sale to the public. It's a unique way of wargame software d...

Not a bug or big issue, but also a very simple fix if you want to make it: -Will the "Nota bene" disclaimer message at the end of the "Scenario Background" text in the Ledger be removed in this version? That disclaimer gives the game the impression of being in Beta and not fully 'released' yet. I am...
