Both Orel and Pat are right. When a given general dies, the cross which represents this fact appears on the right of that general, i.e. the general should be on the left of the cross. :wavey: I hope it has been fixed. As it is, the cross is very close to a general who remained alive, which is misle...

Gold edition: many (all?) new portraits aren't used

Example: Army_PRU_Buddenbrock.png exists. Unit_PRU_Buddenbrock.png exists. Too bad you will never see the portrait in game. Thats because the models file references a generic portrait ( "Portrait = Unit_Norbert.png") ... and that's the one you will see in game. I've checked with the Austrians - same...

The fleet in Arhanghelsk is exclusively for moving down the Dvina river and bombing stuff. It's a riverine fleet. It is the fleet in Murmansk (the one with cruisers, etc. and *transports*) that you wanna use to transport ships back and forth. In case I was unclear: Allied troops are in Murmansk. The...

For your plan to work, you have to attack and control Segezhda. It's kinda hard to use a railroad if you don't control the territory or the railroad stations. In the game, at least. Alternatively, and preferably, you could try to do what the Allies did historically. Wait for the White uprising in Ar...

As a person who has played the ROP about 20 times: the AI adopted as many as seven different strategies in the first two years. And then things got even more complicated. I doubt it's different with other AGEOD games, which I haven't started/played as much.

I understand/knew that one must hold all objectives. It's just confusing to see that the statement "Sudden Death=ON" is next to National Morale. Especially if one is used to AACW ;)

Sudden Death ON?

What is the national morale level at which the Austrian Coalition throws the towel? I've got them down to 20, and they keep on fighting. The VP&Objectives screen says "Sudden Death ON", without any further details. BTW: I have deleted all NM readjustments from Balances.sct, if you want to know how I...

i agree completely. For ageod fans it is a step back in two areas: First, beautiful, hand drawn, maps are ageod trade mark. For me, they are important immersion factor. Also, it seems armies will be represented by generic 3d soldier figures. I don't like them. At least, please give us option to use...

My bad :bonk: The box of Cuba contains 2 regions: "Cuba" and "Sea of Cuba". "Cuba" is un-enterable. "Sea of Cuba" is enterable, once Spain enters the war. What fooled me was that the "Cuba" region contains a lot of water :D and I believed that this was the way to go for a landing force. Until now, I...

"Cuba Invasion"? Nope.

The evt_nam_WarSpain_GBR event in 1755 Campaign.sct leads to the creation of a "Cuba Invasion Fleet" (many ships + land units). However Cuba cannot be entered. Instead, New Orleans appears as an objective. I'm not suggesting that the fleet should be renamed as to contain a clue about New Orleans - a...

Without getting into too much of a technical discussion: 152 mm guns = best of the era. Men, field entrenchments such as barbed wire - it's all going to smithereens. Siege guns = slower, heavier guns, usually aiming at bringing down fortified positions - i.e. concrete, wood, stone, steel. They *can*...

Not sure about Ukraine. However Machno will prove to be a pain in the :bonk: , just as historically. Kill/destroy him before setting off to Moscow, or else you'll have MAJOR problems in your rearguard.

Basic things: 1. Do you know how to build new units? (I don't mean replacements). It seems you already do, but it's worth pointing it out. Lotta people played this game for quite a while without having a clue. 2. The key in AGEOD games is (in my humble opinion) national morale. Unfortunately in RUS,...

How to insert a multi-choice?

Other than simply copying an existing one and modifying as necessary in the .sct and rebuilding the scen, are there any other files that need to be modified?

Edit: When I say "multi-choice", I mean for instance the "Ferdinand of Braunschweig goes to Hannover" question in Rise of Prussia.

As of the latest patch, Emden is neutral when the British Contingent arrives. So there you have the worst of both worlds: the Contingent arrives there, but is stuck because Emden "is blocked for this scenario".

A reply to your reply to my reply :) 1. Desertion can happen all the time. I just had some in Omsk, with my Siberian Whites having a national morale of 98. 3. 1. Look in the game main menu ("Options" -> "Game") at the "Historical attrition" setting. If you have it set at any other level than the leftmost one, you will lose troops to desertions even if you're not doing anything. The tooltips explain it all. It is also possible that OneArmedMexican is right...
