Ooo, I like this. Are you using RUS Gold? I haven't tried this Scenario since the very fist release.

Thanks!

Re: Colourisation...

I think they look really good as well! You've clearly put a lot of work into this - I'm excited to see more of this mod. The only constructive criticism I could offer - and it's by no means anything major, just if you want to refine further - would be that some of the CSA Officers still have a backg...

Re: Colourisation...

I think they're great. They're not going to look 1:1 identical to the ones already in the base-game, those are slightly more stylized. But I don't think it matters honestly, these will fit in fine.

Re: Colourisation...

Honestly I think these are pretty good. If you remove the backgrounds they will look even closer to what we have in-game and will pop out a lot more.

Re: Colourisation...

Hi B&T, These look really good! What program are you using for the colorization? I found with the old AACW that I could get a decent enough approximation of the more stylized portraits in that game, but I struggled with the more detailed, more life-like ones in CW2. These are pretty close! -degu...

Re: Stong Morale Special Ability

Hi debtmars, If I may pre-empt Bohemond, who I am sure can confirm one way or another: Unit level in this case means the division, so long as there is a division. I think for game purposes, the game doesn't really differentiate between brigades once they are in a division. So the sub-unit (the regim...

colour me interested :) I've been playing against myself for a long time, if only because other commitments and my general laziness don't really allow me to stick the a regular schedule - I think I've been playing my game for more than a year and I'm still in 1862 :D I'm also a bit of a semi-histori...

That's unfortunate :( I don't have any experience with this particular eror, but it has helped me in the past to launch the game via its CW2.exe from its folder (wherever your Steam games are located) and to launch it as administrator (left click on the .exe and choose "Run as Administrator&quo...

Re: Past 1920: An AAR midway - on

I'm afraid I lack the time commitment for PBEM against anyone but myself, sometimes I think my turns end up taking longer than the period of time they historically cover  As to questions though: I've noticed that (for myself at least) the Southern Whites at the start have gone from being quit...

Re: Does this mean the AGE engine style of game is gone?

PhilThib is exactly on this line then, with his new wargames from SGS, and who among you are playing them? They don't get that much reviews on Steam, so my guess is not too many. Haha touché Pocus, you got me there. I would say that the SGS games don't quite have the grand strategy scope that I fav...

Re: Does this mean the AGE engine style of game is gone?

Couldn't agree more. It's true the old engine was on its last legs and that for reasons of commercial viability an upgrade in terms of functionality and accessibility was no doubt the correct choice, but if I could have whatever I wanted (and I demand no less) then it would be a modern, sleek, acces...

Re: Please help - game crashes at loading time

Hi Shri,

Haven't experienced it for WON, but try right clicking the .exe and running as Administrator.

With CW2 I still get this crash occasionally, but after 2-3 retries running as Administrator, it will run eventually.

Hope that works for you as well!

Hold on, I once did (for my own pleasure) a database of all the generals that appear. My assumption at the time was that he was supposed to be John Kelly https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_H._Kelly , even though the name doesn't match completely and he didn't have a major role. -deguerra

Ah, the crisis manager. A hell to design, so that it was automated while having players input meaningful choices. I don't know if I succeeded in fact! ;) I would be interested to get these screenshots in big, for my archives. It has been a very long time since I saw the PON crisis manager in action...

Hi BnT, I've been following these discussions but haven't responded as yet. I like the initiative, but I find it hard to whittle my musings down to a "this" or "that" set of options, so here goes: I understand Pocus' statement that a more complex setup for a potential CW3 is unli...

Re: 1v1 PBEM - How to do it?

Hi Turbo, I sure can, but Captain Orso already did it better than me (this is for CW2, but the principle is exactly the same for RUS): PBEM = Play By EMail This is directly from the manual, updated by myself to fit to the current game. Play by Email (PBEM ) CW II can be played against another human ...

Re: 1v1 PBEM - How to do it?

Hi Turbo, Assuming you know how PBEM works generally, it's really quite simple: the red player loads up the game as the RED faction and does their turn as normal and saves. The whites player loads up the game as the WHI faction and does their turn and saves and then also loads up the game as the WH3...
