OK, I stop here now. The AI decided to stop moving its units around, except its boats, so Rochambeau is in the middle of Berkshire Hills in Winter and will let his army die, and the Spanish in Iberville refuse to move and go back to Nouvelle Orléans. In Deep South, the Americans were a couple turns ...

Got an evt_nam_Winnebago_WinQuarters in the text log.

Guess this campaign did not get as tested as the others, since people prefer to start a war the first day and not in the middle of it :)

Bugs carry on ! Benedict Arnold decided to betray the Americans YET AGAIN the following turn. Only I had his face on a red background before, on an orange background now.

Yet another bug on the same campaign : next turn. France and Spain declares war ONCE again. Not that I am at war with Spain since at least 6 monthes (see previous picture) and with France since one year. That the army of Rochambeau you see. Double bug - 1778-1792 campaign "Onward to The Valley Forge"

A picture is worth a thousand words http://img10.hostingpics.net/pics/346307Dortmund_is_bugged.jpg So two bugs there : - Obvious bug, the text file is missing - Not so obvious - the Spanish did NOT take Darthmund. It is still MINE, MINE, MINE ! But maybe that is WAD. - Note that I keep the schooners...

Tory and Indian War 3 factions - not working. At all

Heya, AGEOD I just tried the Tory and Indian War 3 factions. It does not work. This SC should explain it all http://img10.hostingpics.net/thumbs/mini_221954Tory_and_Indian_War.png Long story short : The Americans like the Indians and would never harm them. The vile English are attacking the Indians ...

Not really a movie, but this song can easily be linked to the period (if you forget the reference to the "fascist pigs" at the end, and if you are not picky with the use of "Soviet Union" pre-1922 ;) ). I also believe it is extremely powerful ! (and yes, it is part of a Soviet MUSICAL film - they ex...

Another problem (for me at least) is on how to regenerate hits on elements. Apparentely, I might be wrong but really the manual is confusing, there is an local hidden ressource "(local) replacement chits" in region which is the "capacity" to regenerate lost hits. Only since it is secret, one don't k...

As you may have noticed in this thread, I am very absent-minded and confuse stuff a lot.
In any case, I had no use of all that arty. Made me slow to chase the indians in the forest.

evt_nam_NiagaraLost1PW is just a message to inform the player of its loss and the text is in the latest version. The lack of wintering was either a design decision or a bug which has been fixed (so long ago I forget). Indian supplies are always used up at the start of winter – so WAD. OK. Everythin...

Oh.... did not know you could attach directly a link. I don't know which file to put, so I put a lot of them ! Here is a SC. I assure you there is a commander in that stack (I took the screenshoot for the message bug, not for the display bug). http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/725/newbitmapimageqd.jpg

The bug can be seen last turn, on Fort de Chartres.

Hobbes will want to see how I beat the Indians and how I get to rename most buildings involved in that war.

And finally, this one might be a big one, or not a bug : in Winter 1764-1765, most of my Indians wintered, but my supplies (the "Indian" ones) vanished - except one. Is it WAD ?

Might not be a bug : The Cayuga after being triggered and the Seneca TRIBE don't winter. This might be an engine limitation.

Still playing - the "Small Pox exarcerbated" when more than 22 Indian elements at the same spot is a nice touch.

Just won as the Indian by shattering enemy morale at turn 16 (October 1766).

Edit : No - wait. I won because I took Fort Pitt without battle by sieging.

I’ve never seen Fort Niagara taken! Detroit and Pitt are both without Depots at start. It sounds like you played the scenario very well – much more aggressively than I have ever tried. Thanks for the thoughts. I doubt I will make many more revisions to Pontiac but I will keep them in mind for the n...

Are you sure it was evt_nam_ChartresLost1FW and not evt_nam_ChartresLost1PW? You're right. It's with 1PW. Small text - tough to read :) I'm surprised you found the AI Indians to be easy to defeat as they always seem to play a fairly strong game in my tests. I assume they destroyed most of your mino...

Played the scenario (UK vs AI Indians). Great scenario - I guess it is more balanced in MP because in SP under the recommended setting I breezed through it (AI is not good at using the mobility of Indians I believe). Small bug : in October 1765 I took Fort de Chartres and thus won the game. But in t...

Well, I am new to AGEOD but I would like to see a 30 y.o. war simulation. This would be awesome, esp. if you add something like recruiting as your army goes through a province and said province being more and more poors as its manpower is drained and the towns are looted, with no hope of recovery. S...

I add exactly the same problems as bbriley (no way to see the "Saves" file, even by showing the hidden files). I solved it the same way - so you may want to have a look into this to avoid people not coming on the forum being upset

As Generalissimo said, this is not a sandbox game (i.e., do as you please), but more of a how can you function within the limitations of that particular nation (culture, economy, geography, demographics, industrialization, etc.). Regarding Stralsund: If I don't mix things up, the coalition was formed AFTER Frederick attacked Saxony, in other words: it doesn't make a lot of sense to Blitzkrieg BEFORE the coalition has formed. It's historically correct and I like it like that. This is true, but I was talking 3 to 6 months bet...

Questions about Saxony surrender, Stralsund and interface

Hi there, people. Great game, thank you ! :coeurs: Fun and represent rather well the era warfare, except for the habit of fortresses to fall in a few weeks only - but I read it was getting corrected :) . On my very first game, playing the BiA/WiA way, I managed to besiege Vienna (two consecutive tur...
